"So, you guys are Emerson and Evelyn, Andriana's past siblings?" Helen asked
"Ah, I told you she remembered us, there is no way she will remember Tristan and forget about me" Paul or Emerson smirked.
Oh my God, I was not the only one.
" I pity your soul mate and sadly, she turned out to be a human" Evelyn rolled her eyes but she was looking at Helen.
What was a soulmate?
Who was I kidding, I knew what a soulmate was but I just didn't understand what Evelyn meant.
"Who is your soulmate?" I asked.
"Your human friend here turned out to be the soul mate of my brother or should I say our dear brother Emerson" Evelyn said with a smirk.
" What!" Helen choked out shocked, I was also shocked.
Emerson sighed "In the world where we come from, we call our lover's our soulmates because we were made for each other and you, Helen, is my soulmate" he said .
" How can you be so sure I am your soulmate?" Helen asked, I was also curious here.
" You smell differently" he answered and Helen put on a disgust face "I mean in a good way" he quickly added and I giggled.
Helen should have seen her face, it was so funny.
"We recognize our mates by the sent and the mark on your back proves it. I also had that mark on my back. Though, you might not be able to hear my sent but you will feel the connection at first sight" he explained.
" Ah, I knew there was something fishy about you when I saw you" Helen giggled and I was glad she was happy that she was going to spend the rest of her life with Emerson. Now I knew why she had liked him at first sight.
"Good to know she is taking the news well" Evelyn teased
" So, you guys were also reincarnated" I changed the topic and besides I really needed answers to my questions.
Both of them smirked together "No" they answered.
Okay, they were not reincarnated then how come they were here.
"We are still alive" Evelyn added.
"What do you mean?" Helen asked confused.
"What she meant is that we are still alive after Andriana's death" Emerson relied.
Now they were confusing us even more.
"When did I die?" I asked.
"Thousands of years ago" they chorused.
" You got to be kidding me!" Helen's mouth fell opened and so did mine.
They couldn't have lived that long and still looked so young unless they had immortality.
"We are very different from humans, we might look like them but we had abilities that made us different from them. Like immortality" Emerson explained.
" Then how did Andriana die?" Helen asked confused.
Evelyn sighed " it's a very long story actually"
" We have a lot of time" Helen said, she seem eager to hear this story but I was too.
" How much do you remember from your life as Andriana?" Emerson asked.
" Nothing much. Just Tristan and I and then our family, how happy we here" I answered.
Evelyn scoffed " That is not even half of it"
