PRINCE TOOK DEEP BREATHS, HE HUFFED AND HUFFED AS HE MOVED FORWARD. The field was crowded, many shouts of cheers could be heard from all around. At this track meet, Kakeru and Prince were the ones who joined.
"Prince!"
"OUJI-SAAAAAN!" The Aotake members shouted as Prince passed by.
A few moments later, Kakeru could be seen lapping Prince. As he was now on his last lap, Kakeru's time was faster than it had already been. The numbers on the electric stopwatch on-field made most of the people watching surprised.
13: 30 it read.
"Woah, This is amazing." Joji awed. "Is Kakeru going to break 14:30?" Jota continued.
Yukari glanced at her watch, before looking at how Prince was doing. Panic rushed over her as she saw Prince slouch down, his form was breaking.
"PRINCE!" A voice shouted from behind him, making Prince turn his head. "FORWARD!!!" Kakeru shouted, reminding Prince to look forward like how he did in his previous jogs. "Please face forward! Forward!" Kakeru jogged to his speed.
"Hey! Why's he slowing down?"
"He was going to get a good time, too!"
"Kakeru. . ."
"I am... facing forward..." Prince replied, "You never... shut up!" He continued, facing forward again. "I'm fine. Go!" He insisted.
Kakeru smiled over his shoulder taking one last look at Prince, then he ran ahead of him. Prince watched as Kakeru's back became further and further, something inside him pushed him to do better than before.
"Hey, he might actually make it!" King grinned.
"You can do it, Prince!" Yuki shouted.
"PRINCE!!! FINAL SPURT!" The Aotake members shouted together.
Finally, Prince crossed the finish line and everybody ran over to him happily. Prince collapsed to the ground tired, his breaths were hitched.
"You did it. You made it." Kakeru knelt beside him.
"Don't make such a fuss," Prince replied in between breaths. "I still have a long way to go."
"Yes, you do. You can go much faster." Yukari smiled.
"Shut up!"
"What's so great about that... .?"
"29:26.28 huh?"
"Who knows."
"Yeah! To celebrating breaking 30 minutes.." The group lifted Prince, getting ready to throw him. "Ready, and..."
