[ Okay, before anyone has a chance to say anything, let me explain. I know that only the first part rhymes, but it's still part of the same poem. It all grew from the same feeling and the same idea. So, therefore, I don't care about your opinion on my rhyming scheme. Get over it.)

A sinking ship so destiny.

A faithful friend, stands next to me.

A bloody hand escapes the earth;

Craves revenge; Wants me to hurt.

And I run so far, but betrayal crashes down;

And my heart pauses gently as my face hits the ground.

My demons drag me down by my feet.

I feel the fire of my mistakes; and I try to retreat.

Don’t let me fall;

Don’t let me burn.

You can’t let the past consume me.

I’m not afraid to boil.

I’m not afraid to bubble.

I’m afraid to have you stand there; watching.

And left remembering the monster

That claws at my insides.

Don’t prick your hand on the needles,

When you shoot medication through your veins.

I can’t protect you from yourself.

I’ve already been gnawed halfway through ‘insane.’

Remember the silvery teeth of my demented mind.

Don’t forget me how I was.

Don’t forget how I used to be.

I’m afraid to never be remembered

As the girl who lied.

Saying “I’m fine.”

When the darkness grew from

her ashy heart.
