Hope's POV
—
I wake with Josie in my arms just how I like it.
I look over to my clock and I read 9:40.

I kiss Josie on the forehead.
"Baby wake up." I whisper to her softly.
Josie groans as she stirs awake.
"It's too early." She slurs as she turns around.
I sit up leaning on the headboard.
"It's 9:40." I say to her.
Josie shoots up and she starts panicking.
"On a Sunday." I say laughing at Josie's antics.
"Oh." Josie says shyly as she slowly climbs back into bed.

"But we still have to get up in case a monster comes." I say taking the covers off and standing up.
"Where are you going?" Josie asks me as she rubs her eyes.
I walk around and I grab clothes and a towel.
"I'm going to shower." I say.
"You can come join me." I say with a cheeky smile.
Josie replies mirroring the smile.

After Josie and I finish showering we head to the cafeteria.

We see Lizzie, MG, Cleo and Rafael sitting at a table.
We grab our trays and we join them, sitting.

We eat and chatter about school work then Lizzie changes the subject.

"So how is it being a public couple?" Lizzie asks.
"It's um I mean it definitely feels like we can do things more freely." I reply.
"You guys are so cute." Lizzie says which shocks me.
I look at Josie confused.
She just shakes her head subtly.

"And you two, how are things going?" Josie asks Cleo and Rafael.
I could see the blush on the both of their faces.
"Things are going good then, I assume." I say chuckling lightly.
Cleo rolls her eyes.

"Oh I just want something like you guys." Lizzie says pouting.
All four of us look over to a puppy-faced MG.
Lizzie is so clueless sometimes.

— bell rings, end of lunch —

Josie and I head back to my room to chill.

We lay on the bed entangled in each other.

One of my hands holding Josie's and the other playing with her hair.

My mind wanders off.
I think about what life would be like if I were normal, human.

What life would be like with Josie in the future.

What life would be like if I was a full tribrid.

Do I even want to turn into a vampire?

"Jo?" I say softly.
"Hmm?" Josie replies.
What would happen to you if I died?" I ask her.
Josie moves up to look at me.
"What made you bring this up?" Josie asks.
"I was just thinking about life later on", I say continuing. "And if I was a vampire."

"I think I'd find every way to bring you back like what Davina did for Kol." Josie replies.
"That leads to very bad consequences." I say chuckling.
"But I can try." Josie replies.

"And if I activated my vampire side?" I ask Josie.
"I'd become a heretic to stay with you." Josie replies.
"Then you wouldn't be able to live your life and you wouldn't be able to grow old." I say.
"I wouldn't want a life without you." Josie replies.
"I wouldn't want one without you either." I reply
I smile as I lean in to hug her.
I hug her tightly.

I then wander off to the thought of dying.
I've seen the faces of people I've killed and I felt it.

I felt the fear.
