Seating himself below the tree seeing as she had chosen to sit a little further out in order to watch the spirtes play, Mo Yuan gave her the usual greeting but the apprehension he had arrived with the day before was still there, maybe even more so considering he was now learning that her lessons were as unnusual as she was. But giving her the hat that he had forgotten to return, he watched as she quickly slapped it over her head to hide her eyes which according to her were so beautiful, she was afraid that her loveliness might bedazzle him.
She may have been very beautiful, and possibly the most loveliest Goddess to walk their world, but to date, her rather childlike manner and forceful nature were in complete contrast to himself, so he was still very unsure of her, but what he did know, was he liked her regardless even though nothing in his expression suggested so. In fact to her mind, she found his overly stiff manner and even stiffer expressions tiresome, especially seeing as she had already taught him to smile more, which really was the point of her lessons.
If he smiled more, then he would find the courage and confidence he was so obviously lacking when it came to the opposite sex which she truly believed was where his problems lay. He might be revered by the entire world, but no one, no matter who they were, could live without companioship, it made absolutely no sense to her that a man as great as himself, would choose to live a life of celibacy unless he was frigid. And she had every intention of breaking through those walls he kept erecting until he had mastered the art of smiling from the eyes and therefore the heart.
In just a few days, she had already managed to make him laugh, and loving the sound of it, she really wanted to hear it again only her attempt to play the day before while teaching him along the way, had not really had the effect she had been looking for. Men as far as she was aware, liked a little playfulness, so it really did stun her that he was not taken at all by the impishness that most women were capable of, which in the end, had her wanting to know exactly what made this man tick, because as much as she was an enigma to him, he was even more so to her.
"The Sprites never miss a chance to cause mischief." she smiled from under the brim of her hat and bringing his attention to the light smattering of blossoms in his hair that they had been showering him with the moment he arrived.
"I wonder where they learned it from...?" he jested lightly and making her smile grow as he lightly flicked the petals off his sleeves.
"Have you never caused mischief?" she asked genuinely interested seeing as he really didn't look as if he was even capable of it.
"When I was your age, maybe a little...." he admitted only to glare when she burst into pearls of laughter, something he was still not used to.
"My age? And just how old do you think I am High God Mo Yuan?" she asked giggling at him like a child.
Taken aback by the question, the idea that she might actually be older than she looked and even acted, once again had him honing in on her. Physcally, she was all woman, there was no doubt about it, and several times she had spoken as if she were one who had lived every manner of experience, but then again, her antics and ability to laugh with reckless abandon suggested she was just a child,so guessing really was a two edged sword.
"If I guess too high, I will risk offending you, if I guess too low, I will risk offending you,. So why not tell me how old you are." he suggested hopefully, because if he had an age to go by, then he might get closer to her identity.
Shaking her head at him for daring to ask, the laughter was soon pulled in when her eyes appeared from beneath the hat..
"Asking a woman her age is even more offensive." she replied with pursed lips.
