Mo Yun wasn't the only one now wanting the name of the Goddess of the Peach Tree Grove and it seemed to Haode, that the more enquiries he made into her identity, the harder the wall he seemed to hit. No one had ever heard of such a woman and though he had ensured his inquiries were discreet, seeing as the young lady might be a very close friend of High God Zhe Yans, it was soon becoming known that he was keeping a female companion whom Mo Yuan had fallen in love with.
That was the rumour currently doing the rounds, including an even more extravagant one that she might be a part of a growing Harem that Mo Yuan was keeping secret, seeing as a number of beautiful Goddess were seen in the Grove with him only a few days earlier. And it was during a discussion with Di Jun that he voiced his concerns, having no idea that Mo Yuan was even keeping female company until the Queen of the South had come running to him crying.
"They are merely rumours, there is no evidence of it." Di Jun chided him for even daring to repeat it.
"But it its true, then how will that affect his oath of Celibacy. He swore to the Heavens that he would forego all women in order to safe guard the realms." Haode insisted.
"So?" Di Jun raised his head to glance at him with a look of impatience. "The Heavens did not decree it, he merely offered." he added before rising off his platform. "As for affecting his oath, it won't if Mo Yuan doesn't want it to. And besides, he has honoured his oath for two hundred thousand years, if he has decided he has had enough of the solitary life and he wants to take a woman and this Goddess of the Peach Tree Grove is the one he has chosen, then I suggest we allow him the privacy he is obviously wanting." he said with finality and giving Haode no more room for discussion on the matter, but this was not something he was willing to let go of, not when Wang Jiu arrived in tears, and for a woman who allowed no one to bully her, made the situation even more confusing for him.
"Alright, I concede your point. But that still doesn't answer the question as to who she is. If Mo Yuan has taken a fancy to her and seeing as she is the first in centuries, then we have to also assume that the Peach Tree Goddess might one day become the Mistress of Kunlun and therefore a serious threat to any negotiations we might regain from the South." Haode pushed as he too rose to his feet.
"And has it occurred to you, that the young Goddess might actually be someone who outranks even her?" Di Jun asked enigmatically and giving Haode the impression that he actually knew who she was while stunning him senseless.
"Who?" he asked as his mind began to churn at the speed of a hummingbird. There were not that many Goddesses who held such a high ranking, especially one who outranked the Queen of the South. There were certainly enough of them to be considered valuable to their world, but for the life of him, he couldn't even think of one who held an even higher position than her.
A mysterious smile fell over Di Juns face as he turned to leave. "How would I know, I am merely suggesting the possibility." he replied before slowly striding out of Haodes study and leaving him even more apprehensive than when he arrived to all but order him to let the South go.
Only that increased his desire to learn who this Goddess was, that had upset his closest ally and possibly caused an irreversable split between Realms. If anyone was going to learn her identity, it was going to be him. And no sooner had Di Jun left his Palace, then Haode was quickly writing out a missive, one he immediately had sent to a far northern estate.
