I helped Pete lug in bags from our shopping trip as he set them down by the door I followed right after. Setting the bags down and standing straight, Pete had left and Elli walked in
He stopped and began unbottoning his shirt. Walking passed me, not even noticing me. I looked around the flat, standing there looking helpless. The door buzzed and opened again, a woman walked in. Locking the door, turning around and jumped seeing me
" Oh- uh.. H-Hello, you must be Ms. Fawn"
She quickly set her bags down in a hurry, shaking my hand with a smile on her face. I smiled back at her
" I am, yes... But Fawn is my middle name. It's White, And who are you?"
" Oh! Sorry- I'm the cleaning lady- Marge, I'll be gone shortly"
" Wait, wait.. cleaning lady?"
" Yes ma'am... Is that an issue? I can come back when he's not home, i-
" No it's not that.. He doesn't clean?"
" No, well... Rarely.. Sometimes, he u-
" Marge! Are you cleaning!?"
His voice bounced around the walls. The both of us jumping at his raspy and loud voice, we both looked at each other.. She quickly started to clean and I stopped her
" He's going to get upset with me if I don't finish before 5"
She whispered to me, holding the pillow in her hands. I grabbed it setting it back where she got it, I put my hands on her shoulders sitting her down. She looked up at me
" Sweetie, you're sweating anxiety... Sit down, I'll clean okay?"
" Its my job I got it"
She looked at me and sighed
" Marge... Listen to me, he can't get mad at you for something I said.. Chill for a bit I got it"
"Bu-
" Sit Down.. Please"
She sat down. Fixing up the coffee table, I started cleaning around her and moving the bags to the couch where she sat, I sat in front of her on the coffee table after straightening everything up nearby
" You wanna pull the tags off everything for me?"
" Yeah, I can"
She nodded taking the bag from my hand. I stood up, walking to the bathroom Elli was in. Opening up the door and closing it, sitting up on the sink after moving his clothes
" So. A maid, huh?"
I heard a bottle drop then him cuss under his breath, I smiled to myself crossing my legs. He opened up the curtain popping his head out and glaring at me
" There's another bathroom here."
" Oh, no.. I don't have to go, why don't you clean your own home?"
" I don't need to. Marge does it for me"
" Not anymore."
" Excuse me?"
He stopped the water reaching for the towel.
" What? You heard me."
I folded my arms. The curtain flew open, he stood there holding the towel in his grip. But I held the gaze he did, I smiled to myself
" What do you mean she's not cleaning anymore?"
" She's not cleaning for you anymore."
This'll be fun
