I take the loose paper, spreading it firmly on the desk. The way-too-fresh air of the library disturbed me a bit. "Janny!" I turned to see Helen walking in with Lucifer. I waved as they waved back. "Guess he lives close to your house?" I guess, looking at her. Helen shakes her head and smiles. "He lives 3 houses off from yours!" Helen smiles as she bursts out laughing, looking at me like I'm a total idiot. I groan as I kick the chair across from me, startling Helen, and of course, Lucifer. They both sit on the chair carefully and quietly, looking as if I was about to hit them. Which was kinda true. Wait, not kinda, really true. Then, I frown. Right.
Yesterday evening, that suspicious thoughts now vanished like bubbles in the air. I hold Lucifer by the arm and yank him toward the literature bookshelf. "Why didn't you tell me? I misunderstood you!" "Why did you misunderstand me in the first place?" He asked, leaving me speechless. "Well..." "Well?" "Nothing. I'm sorry." "No problem. Did you finish the chart?" "Yes." "Come on." He walked out of the section and sat on our table. I nodded.
