I was in the Audience Chamber... again but this time Rhea wanted to tell me something. "For the upcoming battle of the Eagle and Lion, you shall be a spectator along with Seteth and I. I'm sure you know why, correct?" Rhea asks.
"Yeah, because my demonic abilities will make a one-sided fight," I say.
"Correct," Rhea said and looked at me with a look of nostalgia and longing. She snapped out of it a few seconds after. "I-I'm so sorry, I was caught in the past."
"It's alright," I say causing her to smile in relief. "About the battle, is it alright if I can train Byleth and the Black Eagles?"
"That is what I was going to suggest to you before I thought about the past," Rhea said still embarrassed.
"Ok, anyways, they are in good hands," I say and head out of the audience chamber to talk to the class. when I got to the room they were talking about the battle. "Sorry to interrupt, but you guys are going to train under me since I can't fight due to my demonic heritage."
"Yeah... you'd be able to annihilate all three sides," Byleth said.
"It's a shame. I wanted someone to take out the competition *yawns* so I can take a nap.' Lindhart said.
"That's not gonna cut it! you guys better get prepared for a LOT of training." I say cracking my knuckles.
Timeskip
I was walking with Byleth until Sylvain stopped us. "Hey, you two. How's life treating ya?"
"Everything's fine," I say and Byleth just nodded.
"Are you guys working today? You gotta take a day sometime. Get out in the world and have some fun." Sylvain said.
"I could never..." Byleth said.
"Aw, come on Professor. Let me buy you something to eat. Relax for a couple of hours at least." Sylvain said.
"No, thank you," Byleth said while grabbing my arm. "I have (Y/N) to spend my time with."
"Aw, fine. You're missing out though," he said looking a little upset. "I need to ask a favor, and I wanted to work up the courage to ask you."
"Ask me what?" Byleth asked raising her right arm to her chin.
"There are thieves in my family's territory. I was wondering if you guys will go with me to drive 'em off." Sylvain said. "You remember the thief leader we fought at Conand Tower, Right?"
"Your brother?" Byleth asked.
"Yes, Miklan. He was the oldest son of House Gautier. What's left of his band of thieves is causing trouble in Gautier territory." Sylvain says and continues. "My father has asked me to come home and put down those murderous jerks. But he's asked for me to come alone- no knights, no backup of any sort. That's crazy, right?"
"Yes, that's crazy," Byleth said.
"And the way my father is...he probably has some other motive that I'll never know. Maybe he just wants me to get some more experience in battle. It's a crazy way to suggest it though. Anyways, I'm not going alone, no matter what he asks. I'm going to asl some of the other in our class to help too. But none of us have the experience like you two. If you guys will come with us, I'd be grateful." Sylvain said.
"Of course," Byleth said.
"Yeah, plus it's gonna help get everyone ready for the competition at the end of the month," I say.
"Great! I'll talk to the others and see who's in. Thanks!" Sylvain said and with that, we prepared to go to the Gautier territory. When we got there the city was overrun by Miklan's old band of thieves. We decided to split up into two groups. "Ok, We've got the thieves covered on both sides. some of the thieves are still carrying what they stole, so we have a chance to get it back. Gotta be careful though. They'll run off faster than a nobleman's daughter if we just rush in. Target the strongholds to cut off their escape routes."
