CHAPTER = 18
Christopher’s P.O.V.
We ordered our food and started a normal conversation. In a few minutes of hearing Allie babble on and on about her job, I was bored to death. Her voice was so irritating that I wanted to run from there. If talks could kill she would have been a weapon of mass destruction. Why am I even here?! I wish that food arrives soon so that I could shut her up by stuffing her mouth. I groaned inwardly but still managed to plaster a big fake smile on my face. Right then a shadow fell on our table blocking the lights. I looked up to see the face of none other than my dear wife, Carol with a thousand watt smile plastered on her face. Great now my mind's playing tricks with me. I ignored her and turned my attention to Allie to find her staring in the same direction I was staring before. If she could see her it means she's really here. I looked at her in surprise. She was still beaming at me. I stared at her in shock and instead of saying anything she pulled a seat and plopped down smiling at me totally ignoring Allie in the process. I looked at Allie; she was finally quiet and was staring at Carol, who was beaming at me. I stared at Carol for a few minutes then plastered a fake smile just like hers.
"Hey baby pooh, my cuddly bear. Why do you have that look on your face like you have constipation?" She cooed making a pouty face.
I looked back to see if she was talking to me or someone else behind me. But there was no one there.
"Are you talking to me?" I asked raising an eyebrow.
"Of course darling. Who else would I talk to? I can't even see anyone when you are around." She said with a pout. I stared at her in disbelief.
"Are you for real-
"Baby pooh, cuddly bear, darling! Who is she, Christopher Redcliff?!" Allie asked through clenched teeth.
"Oooo... So you have finally found a new maid for us." Carol said looking at Allie before I could have even opened my mouth to respond.
"Christopher! What is she talking about?! Me a maid?!" Allie yelled, her nostrils flared in anger.
"Baby I don't like her. She's a nasty one." Carol said with a pout.
"How dare you talk to me like that?!" She yelled at Carol.
"You are fired!" Carol said with a glare.
"You can't fire me!" Allie glared back.
"I just did!" Carol replied with a smirk.
"Christopher!"
"Baby!"
"Christopherrr!"
Babyyyy!"
"Ladies enough!" I finally shouted and they both clamped their mouths shut.
"Allie this is Carol..." I was to stop there but Carol picked up a fork and pointed it towards me so I added
... My wife."
"What!? You are married?!" Allie shrieked in a loud ear piercing voice.
"Of course we are married. It was all over the news channels. Don’t you watch TV, maid." Carol said with a smirk.
"I'm not your maid and I am leaving. Christopher Redcliff you are a jerk!" She shouted, and poured her whole glass of wine on my face. With that she stormed out of the hotel without any backward glance.
I was frozen by all the drama that just happened so I was a little bit slow to pay attention to the fits of giggles that just started escaping my lovely wife's mouth. I picked up a napkin and wiped my face then glared at her. I threw the napkin on the table and stood up to go after Allie.
