(Y/n's POV)
I was on my side on the black leather couch in our apartment. George was sitting on the ground infront of me. John and Yoko were sitting in the love seat across from us. Yoko was in John's lap. Paul was sitting on the reclining chair to my right. Linda was sitting on the floor leaning against the chair with Paul's legs on either side of her. Ringo and Maureen were sitting on two stools at the bar to my left. I sat up and slid into the floor next to George as John and Ringo talked. Maureen and Linda were having a conversation, so I waited for a lull and then put my hand on Linda's and offered her a seat on the couch. She shook her head and thanked me anyway. I leaned my head onto George's shoulder and smiled. He looked over at me sleepily and smiled at me. He was so cute when he was sleepy.
After a few more minutes I stood up and excused myself. Yoko offered to help me in the kitchen and I accepted.
"So, how is Sean?" I asked once I had entered the kitchen.
"He is doing just wonderful, growing up big and strong, just like his father."
"That's good! You should bring him around again. Sometime soon."
She smiled at me, then we fell into a familiar silence. It wasn't uncomfortable, just, normal.
Once I had finished chopping the vegetables, I went to the oven and pulled out the vegetable casserole.
I put it on top of the oven and helped Yoko finish the gravy then helped her carry out that, as well as the olives, pickles, salt, pepper, and other condiments.
I poured the Champaign into everyone's glass and told them all to sit down. Gorge sat at the head of the table opposite the kitchen. Ringo sat on his right side, then Maureen. John on his left then Yoko. Finally, Paul was to my left, and Linda was to my right. I placed the casserole, biscuits, salad, vegetables, and fruit on the table. Then I sat down.
"To Christmas, a wonderful year, and to this beautiful dinner that (y/n) has been so kind as to prepare." Paul toasted.
"Cheers." Everyone said in unison.
Everyone took a sip out of their glass then began to serve. I smiled and made eye contact with George. He winked at me then stuck out his tongue for just a second. I giggled then finally served myself.
I talked with Paul and Linda for most of the dinner. We talked about where they were vacationing this summer and then about when we could get together to do Paul's birthday and I also offered to take care of Heather and Stella for them.
As dinner conversations tapered off, I decided to collect the empty plates and put them in the kitchen. Paul and George helped me clean off the table then everyone sat down where they were before we got up to have dinner. I walked over after I had washed my hands again and stood by the tree.
"Time for gifts!"
Everyone smiled a little as I passed out gifts to them. Once I finished we watched one another open gifts. I got an absolutely beautiful watch from Paul and Linda. Then I got an amazing book from John and Yoko. Finally, from Ringo and Maureen, we got a gorgeous painting to hang up in the empty space on the wall.
I was so excite about my gifts but I had to put them down as conversation floated around me. I sat and listened as everyone talked. It was quite warm in the room and it was nice to just sit back and listen to the murmur of voices.
Sometimes it gets quite lonely In the apartment. Yes, George is here sometimes, I guess I just wish there was someone else. Not really a child. Don't get me wrong, I love Ringo's, John's and Paul's kids, I really do. I just don't really want children of my own, and neither does George. But, even so, sometimes I just get this overwhelming feeling of loneliness until George gets home.
After a few hours of light conversation and dessert later, we are saying goodbye to everyone and wishing them a merry Christmas and a good night. Once everyone had left George and I fell onto the couch exhausted.
"Oh, wait, we forgot to exchange our own presents."
I stood up and got George his present. It was a large box that was wrapped in red and green striped paper. He opened it and inside the box was a guitar signed by Elvis. He smiled so wide and was so surprised. He looked up at me after examining it for a minute.
"Is this real?"
"Of course it is real!"
"I love you so much!"
"I love you too."
He looked over the gift for a few more minutes then he put it down. He stood up and walked to the other room. He came back with his hands behind his back and a very pleased look on his face. He walked over to me and stood next to me.
"Are you ready?"
I looked at him skeptically but nodded.
He presented a (favorite animal) to me with a bow around its neck. I looked up at him in utter shock and excitement.
"Really?! Is this for me."
"Of course it is for you! Who else would it be for?"
"Don't be mean!"
"I'm sorry, I'm just kidding."
I took the (animal) from his hands and held it in my arms.
"I noticed you seemed lonely whenever I came home so I decided to get you a companion for when I was at work."
"You are amazing!"
"So are you my love."
He kissed my cheek and sat down next to me.
"I also bought all the things you will need to take care of them."
"You are so thoughtful."
"I'm glad you are so happy."
He kisses my cheek and we sit together on the couch, me still holding the (animal) in my arms.___________________________
