(Y/n's POV)
The nervousness finally hit me. I was in the car on the way to venue. Sherlock and I were going to get married. Today was the day. We have spent many worrisome and anxious months, making sure everything was booked, payed for, and ready to go when we got there. But now, the only thing we had to worry about was getting ready.
We were sitting in the car next to each other. I was driving and Sherlock was exceedingly calm in the seat next to me. It was eerie, but I knew that he was just in his mind palace trying to distract himself from the nervousness.
"Sherlock? Are you sure about this?" I questioned, while not talking my eyes off Of the road.
"Yes, I am. Are you not?" He responded, looking over at me.
"No, I am positive. Very sure. I was just wanted to be clear on how you felt." I said, the nervous energy making me ramble a bit. I began to tap my thumbs on the steering wheel.
When we pulled into the parking lot of the venue, I got out of the car then went over to Sherlock's side. I opened the door and shook his shoulder a bit.
He came out of his mind palace and stepped out of the car. We walked into the beautiful garden hand in had. Our friends were waiting there for us so that they could take us away and dress us up. John and Mycroft were waiting for Sherlock, to dress him up in his suit. Molly and Greg were waiting for me with my suit in hand. We all walked into the small split changing rooms provided by the venue owners for us.
I entered the room, and my shoes, tie, and hair products were already set up.
"I'm sorry excited I could explode!" Molly exclaimed, handing me my suit. We had been friends since we were about eight.
"It's finally here! The day you two make it official!" Greg said in my other side. We had been working together for almost ten years now and had grown quite close.
I quickly changed into the suit trousers and put on my shirt. I tucked in the (f/c) shirt then picked up the tie.
"You look so grown up!" Molly said from behind me.
"We are the same age." I said, smiling and struggling to tie my tie.
"I know, but it never really sank in that we are both adults. It still feels like we are eight." She said getting my shoes and suit jacket ready.
Greg came up and helped me tie my tie.
He is more or less a role middle for me, but he is still one of my best friends.
Once Molly did my hair, I slip on my shoes, shrug on my jacket and check myself in the mirror again.
Sherlock was set to walk down the isle first, so we sat, talked, and waited.
Then the clock struck noon and Molly, Greg, and I stood up. We walked out the door and to the spot we were to walk out of. All of the chairs were filled with family and friends.
Greg was the one walking me down the isle. Sherlock walked next to Mycroft who was obviously glowing with pride for his little brother. Next was Molly and John, interlinking arms was they walked. Rosie came next throwing them flower petals wherever she saw fit.
Finally, it was Greg and I's turn. The music was playing in the background, and the people's eyes were glued to me.
We walked down the carpeted row of people and made it to the alter.
Sherlock and I both misted up when I got there and stood in front of him.
After the vows were down it came to the I do's.
"Sherlock Holmes, do you take (y/n) (l/n) as your husband for now, forever, and for always?"
"I do." Sherlock said. He looked so utterly happy.
"(Y/n) (l/n), do you take Sherlock Holmes as your husband for now, forever, and for always?"
"I do." I responded.
"The rings."
Mycroft handed Sherlock my ring and Greg handed me Sherlock's ring. He slipped mine onto my finger first. Then I slipped his onto his finger. We both smiled so widely.
"You May kiss the groom."
We smashed our lips together for a moment, and when we pulled apart, the entire crowd cheered loudly. We walked back down the isle, saying hello and thank you to a ton of people.
We took our post ceremony photos, for the next hour as everyone else dispersed to go to the reception.
When the photos finally ended, and were to our standards, we left and went to the reception as well.
The two of us were on cloud nine.
It was the best day of our lives. When we got to the reception, we walked arm and arm Into the building.
The music was already playing, and everyone was having a great time.
Not too soon, did the DJ announce that our song was going to come on, and that everyone should clear off the dance floor.
The song was (your choice) by (your choice). And it was utterly beautiful.
I laid my head on Sherlock's chest and the whole world seemed to melt away.
All to soon the song ended and we went to go sit down at our table, flanked by our best men and best woman.
The food was served, we had (your fav food), and it was perfectly delicious.
After dinner, Sherlock and I cut the cake, and served everyone.
Finally, the reception was winding down, and coming to an end. I was sad, but also extremely excited still. Sherlock and I were officially married! It was wonderful!
After everyone said goodbye and left, the two of us piled back into the car and drove back to the flat.
We both talked the whole way home, and it was wonderful. Once we got home, we both went up to our rooms, got undressed, and promptly fell asleep, tangled in one another's arms.___________________________
