Ch. 19

Birds chirped near my open window, the warm sunlight was felt from the same window... Wait, since when did I sleep with the window open.
I opened my eyes, easy to hit the idiot who broke into my room.
"Awake, yet?" A voice said. "I have hot chocolate."
It was Ai.
"Hai," I said, taking the warm styrofoam cup from his hand. The steam warmed my face.
"Cecil-kun left last night." Ai informed me. "Camus just informed the STARISH members. Shall we go join them for breakfast?"
"Matte... STARISH or the boys?" I asked.
His eyebrow wrinkled. "Why would we eat with the STARISH boys?"
My cheeks reddened. "Just checking."

After a few minutes, I came out of my cabin. I was wearing black leggings, black high top boots, a (f/c that would look good with a light blue hoodie) shirt dress, Ai's blue hoodie, and my hair was parted on either side of my neck.
Today, Ai was wearing jeans, a plain white shirt, and a sea foam green hoodie.
"Finally," he teased as we walked toward Camus' cabin.
The scent in the air was great- morning dew, sunlight (yes, it has a scent), and (fav. food).
Ranmaru and Rei-chan were sitting at the two person table, finishing their breakfast. I grabbed a plate filled with food and took a seat next to Ai, who was on the railing, eating waffles with whipped cream and strawberries.
"So he left," Rei-chan said. "Zannen~ I thought something amazing was going to happen."
"Same," I said with a mouthful of (fav. food).
"The probability of him coming back is zero." Ai said seriously, before looking to me and cracking up.
"N-nani?!" I cried.
Rei-chan glanced at me, he, Ranmaru, and Camus joined Ai in laughing.
"Nani?!" I demanded again. "Is there something on my face?"
Ai leaned in. "I'll get it."
I looked into his calm cyan eyes, and I felt his tongue take off some whipped cream from the corner of my lip. There seemed to be a lot because he took his time.
"Get a room!" Ranmaru cried after a minute.
My eyes widened, and Ai's closed in annoyance.

Ai and I walked around the forest a few times in comfortable silence. It's been four hours since our little scene on the railing.
"Ne, ______," he said.
"Hai, Ai-kun?" I asked.
He started walking toward me, I backed up until I hit a tree. He put his hand on either side of my head, staring at me intently.
"Why do you keep using honorifics after my name?" He asked.
"A...Ano..." I said, unable to think of a correct answer that wouldn't make me feel embarrassed.
His forehead pressed up against mine. "Try saying it without the honorifics."
"Mikaze Ai-kun-" I started, but he pinched my cheek. "Itai!"
"Ne," he said. "Say it without the honorifics."
"M-Mikaze Ai-k-k-" he pinched my nose.
"Mikaze Ai-San-" he pinched my neck. "Itai!"
"Two more tries," he said teasingly.
"Mikaze... Mikaze Ai-k-" he rushed his lips against mine and bit my lip roughly. I cried out into the kiss.
"Last chance," he warned.
"M-" I started, tears in my eyes.
"M?" He questioned, a soft look in his eyes.
"M-Mikaze," I said.
"Mikaze? What's my name?" He asked.
"Mikaze A..." I said.
"Mikaze A?" He asked.
"Mikaze Ai... Aishitemasu." I said.
And he kissed all the places he pinched me. My cheek, my nose, my neck, and then caught my lips in a loving, passionate kiss. "Hai," he said. "You got it. Mi-ka-ze Ai. No kun, no san, not even chan."
And the worst thing that could interrupt this perfect moment under the trees was ruined. It was worse than a cell phone ringing suddenly. My stomach growled, and I blushed. He started to crack up.
My cheeks reddened as he said, "Shall we join them for lunch?"

Once the two of us got there, I saw that the QUARTET NIGHT was gossiping.
"Ah. There you are!" Rei-chan said. "The STARISH boys over there are coming up with lyrics for the seven part song. They're leaving Cecil's part blank, though."
"Still living in that fantasy that he'll come back?" Ai asked.
"Unfortunately." Ranmaru said, rolling his eyes.
I noticed the magazine he was holding. Again, it was HEAVENS. The Raging company. I turned away from it, I was afraid of them.
Ai looked at me curiously, and I shot him a smile. "I'm fine." I whispered.
He nodded, not convinced, but he didn't press me. That's why I love him.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Rei-chan look at the STARISH boys with a weird glance.

We were by the river again. All of us, QUARTET NIGHT, enjoying the company of each other.
This time, Rei-chan heard it first. The jolly melody of the piano, the excited voices of the STARISH boys and Cecil.
Ryuya, Ringo, and Shining were there. That's all I saw before I was taken into a vortex of sparkles and hearts, my heart overflowing with positive emotions.
It lasted for about a minute or two before I found myself on my knees.
"Mune ga," I said. "Mune ga itai."
"From now on, you are STARISH! Shinomiya, Tokiya, Aijima, Ren, Ittoki, Syo, and Hijirikawa. I will allow the seven of you to participate in the UtaPri Award competition." Shining said.
Lights suddenly turned on, and a screen appeared. "This year," a voice boomed off of speakers. "Three groups have been chosen for the UtaPri Award. First, STARISH."
QUATET NIGHT looked at me, and I nodded. "The first idol group with a girl, QUARTET NIGHT!"
The kohais looked at us. I winked. "Makenai yo!" We said.
"And the final group, HEAVENS!"
I stopped short, my heart rate picking up. Raging Company. They don't play fair, they like to interfere and mess around with their competition.
Oh geez, I thought, we're screwed!
I felt Ai's hand intwine with mine. It's like he read my mind.

Yup! A twist in the plot! Are you and QUARTET NIGHT gonna win? Lose? Will you have to disban? Ahh, the choices am author has to make! BTWs, if you want to know the song you guys are going sing is QUARTET☆NIGHT. Yup! It's too bad that QUARTET NIGHT only has two song! :(
