Ch. 13

I awoke in my bed. How did I get here?

"____________, daijoubu ka?" Ai asked me.

"H-hai, just, tired." I answered.

I took a step forward, and nearly collapsed.

"You must be very tired. Come on, let me carry you back." He said, picking me up bridal style.

I sat up, and noticed I was still wearing the clothes I wore yesterday. I stood up, grabbed a lacy (f/c) blouse and blue jeans, and took a quick shower.

After I dressed, I towel off my hair and left for breakfast. I was surprised to find everyone I knew in the kitchen.

"Ohayo!" I said, walking up to get some food.

"Ohayo!" Everyone chorused enthusiastically, well, at least STARISH and Rei-chan did.

"Did something happen? You all seem pretty happy today." I said, sitting down next to Ai, who greeted me with a small smile.

"Shining-san said that we could become real pros if we won the UtaPri award." Otoya answered me.

"That is if you get nominated!" Ranmaru snapped.

"Don't you have to be really involved with show business?" I asked.

"Of course. I get to film with Hyuga-sensei today!" Syo cried. "I know that we'll be nominated."

"Aren't you the cocky lot," I said.

"There's a one in a hundred chance that you'll be nominated. You know, QUARET NIGHT could be nominated." Ai said, confirming my statement.

"Or I could, remember I took both courses and excelled." I put in. "Or Tomochika-chan. Or any of the other senpais. There are a lot of talented artists in this agency, iie, in all of Japan. Take HEAVENS for example."

Half of them look crushed, but, the other half looked like they had received the best advice in forever.

Yup, I was pretty wise if I say so myself. I took a victorious bite from my toast. Mmmhhh. The taste of being a senpai.

~*~*Time Skip~*~*

"_____________," Ai called after me as I exited the kitchen.

"Hmm? Nani?" I asked.

He look really nervous and scared. Uh-oh, something must be very wrong.

"Shining-san has requested to see us." He said.

"Us, as in QUARTET NIGHT, ne?" I asked, trying to keep calm.

"Iya, just us."

Oh no, did he see us while we were out on our date yesterday?

All of these questions came into my mind. Oh, no, no, no, no, no. We're going to fired!

We knocked on the door, and it was opened by two grim looking senseis and an always smiling Shining.

"Mister Ai, Mis ____________." He said. "There is something very important on the line we need to discuss."

Ai tensed beside me. And I held my breath.

We sat at his desk, and he handed us copies of the same document. "I want you to read this." He said. "And tell me what you think of this fan request."

Ai relaxed. And I started to breath normally again. Fan request. Oh, thank you, kami-sama. But, what is it about? I thought.

Dear Ai-sama and ___________-sama,

We the fan club of QUARTET NIGHT and (your choice of a stage name) have been thinking. What do you think of showing some sort of romantic thing going on between you two? We know this is a lot to ask for, and we've heard that love is forbidden, but, don't you think it could get you more fans? More publicity for QUARTET NIGHT? Maybe even an UtaPri nomination. If not any of those things, we would really enjoy it. Our club consists of 15,000+ members, just so you know.

My jaw dropped. A chance to let the whole world know that Ai and I were dating?! I exchanged a small glance at Ai. We were both excited. But, we couldn't give in that easily. It would arise suspicion.

"Well?" Ringo asked.

"A-Ano...." We said.

"We know it's against the rules, but, a shot at the UtaPri award, and fan gain could result in something good." Ryuya said.

"I really don't want to loose my job." I said.

"That's right, I don't want to break the rules. I also think that it's unfair for us to only love for business." Ai agreed.

"Only everyone at the agency will know it's business. All your fans would think its real and genuine. You have five seconds to agree. They wanted an answer by tomorrow." Shining said, counting from one.

"F-fine!" I cried.

"If the president suggests it." Ai agrees.

"Tttttthhhhhhhhhaaaaaatttttt'sssss wwwwhhhhhhaaaattttttt IIIIIIIIIIIIIII wwwwwaaaaaannnnntttt ttttoooooooo hhhhhhheeeeaaarrr! Starting from today, you two are a couple. But, on business only. And just in case there are stalkers, which is most likely, act like you love each other at the dorms also! Thank you!"

No, thank you! I thought.

Sorry the chapters are getting shorter. I'm trying to associate them with the second season episodes now, if you haven't noticed. I'm working on associating it with episode four of UtaPri next.
