EPILOGUE

"Why are you wearing a dress? You can't be a ninja in a dress!" A young blonde boy stated loudly at the small brunette girl. The boy wore a black shirt and white shorts while the girl wore simple mint green sun dress. The boy's hair was wild, as if he'd been struck by lightning, and a vibrant blonde as well. His eyes were like soft blue pools teeming with determination.

"I can to be a ninja! I'm going to be a cute ninja! A ninja in a dress!" The little girl stomped her foot and held her fists at her side. The boy and her growled at one another, their foreheads pressing together.

"Naruto! Quit causing trouble already!" The small squeaky voice of a pink haired girl erupted to the two's side. Their heads turned and they were met with their two classmates, Sakura Haruno and Ino Yamanaka.

"S-sorry Sakura-" "Emi do you want to come pick flowers with us?" Sakura suddenly asked, interrupting Naruto's apology.

"Yeah! We can get all our flowers picked together! Without Naruto distracting us, too!" Ino stated, crossing her arms.

"I want all of us to pick flowers though-" "Quit fighting and just pick your flowers," the voice of Shikamaru Nara called.

"...mmm.... u-uhm... E-emi..." A shy and shaky voice caused Emi to look to her left. Hinata Hyuga. Emi turned around in an attempt to look to Naruto for assistance, but he's disappeared.

"What?" She asked, looking to Hinata, her head tilted to the side.

"C-can you.... mmm... can you..." "Can I what?" Emi asked, interrupting her, unintentionally being quite rude, but rude nonetheless.

"N-nevermind..." "Emi look!" Ino exclaimed, taking shelter behind the brunette. Sakura followed quickly and Emi soon became a shield.

"It's the new boy... Sasuke Uchiha," Ino began, "He's so cute..." her and Sakura blushes slightly, tightening their grips on Emi's shirt.

Emi shrugged her shoulders, turning around. The group chattered away like busybody hens until their teacher came up to them.

"Emi Hinagami, your mother is here to pick you up," she stated, holding out her hand to the small child. Emi took her teacher's hand, "Why is mommy here?" She asked. The teacher did not answer. "Bye bye! I'll see you guys later, okay?" Emi called back to the group.

When Emi reached the front of her school building, her mother was there waiting for her with her older brother. Her mother stood tall above her with blonde curly hair and deep brown eyes. She always looked tired for some reason, and she was a bit on the plumper side. Despite being tall to Emi, her mother was actually quite short in stature. Her brother on the other hand was like her twin. Curly brown hair, grey eyes. He was wearing a lime green shirt and black pants. On his shirt was a white four-pronged celestial star outlined in a pale yellow. Their clan symbol.

"Big Brother! Are we getting out of school early because you're sick?" Emi asked her brother, going over and holding his and her mother's hand.

"Emi, we're going to go on a trip, okay? You, me, and Kyo," her mother stated.

"What about Papa? Where's Papa, Mommy?" Emi asked.

"Daddy isn't coming home tonight Honey," her mother stated.

"Then is he coming tomorrow? Is Papa going to come on the trip too?" Emi asked.

"Daddy isn't coming home at all anymore..." Her mother stated, her face showing grief.

"But-" "Shut up! Dad is dead! He's not coming! We're leaving this stupid village! Just shut up! You're so annoying!" Kyo screamed at her, pointing at his small sister's face. He turned and ran off.

"Kyo!" Her mother chased after him, leaving Emi to stand at the front of the school by her self.

"Papa..." She whispered, gripping her mint dress. She felt tears slip down her face for a moment. Her world had come to a complete halt.
