"The dog peed!" A voice suddenly woke Emi up. She put a hand on the ground but something wet made her slip and bang her face into the ground.
"Are you alright?" Jūgo asked, helping her up.
Emi noticed her clothes were soaked and a puddle of water was near where she'd been sleeping. Bento was cowering in the corner, being harassed by Karin.
"He couldn't have peed this much," Emi said, shaking water off of her hands. She went over and grabbed up the dog.
"Alright, enough is enough," Sasuke, who'd been unphased by the mornings events, suddenly spoke.
A man formed from the puddle of water. He had whitish hair and purple eyes. His teeth were sharp.
"Suigetsu!" Karin growled beginning to yell at him.
"I was just checking out who she was. No biggie," the man, Suigetsu responded.
"So you liquefied yourself and soaked her clothes? You're such a pervert!" Karin exclaimed.
"Not my fault she got wet in the process. Water is water," he replied.
"I'm going to go out my clothes up to dry," Emi interrupted. She handed Bento to Jūgo and headed out of the room. She felt disgusting. She grabbed a robe from the front desk and wrapped it around herself before she began to hand her wet clothes. She looked at her clan symbol on the back of her turtleneck. She needed to reevaluate what the He'll she was doing out here. She was supposed to be reporting back to the Leaf with information on Sasuke, not gallavanting around with him. Tonight she had to leave. If she didn't, she wasn't sure where her future would place her.
She went and bathed then checked on her clothes. She was surprised to find Sasuke there. He felt the clothing to see if it was dry, then for some reason sniffed them. As if she hadn't properly washed them and he could tell. Emi scowled and she noticed he was joined by Jūgo. She walked out in her slippers and robe.
"What are you two up to out here?" She asked, reaching for her clothes. Sasuke moved out of the way.
"Jūgo wanted to get some fresh air and I accompanied him," Sasuke stated. The line to dry clothes was outside on the upper most level of the inn.
"Ah okay. That still doesn't explain why you smelled my clothes," Emi snickered under her breath, "But anyways! What are you up to?"
Emi went over, taking a seat next to Jūgo. He was distracted by birds that had come to join him. She saw Bento in his lap and reached over to pet him.
"The world is such a beautiful place when it's peaceful like this," Jūgo stated.
"You think? I think it's more... underdeveloped I guess," she responded.
"And what do you mean by that?" He asked.
"The world has much more potential but it decides to grow at such a slow rate," Emi stated.
"We don't force flowers to bloom when they're not ready, right? The same goes for the world," Jūgo added.
She turned to her back to him and leaned against his side. She felt him tense up. Sasuke loved quickly, pulling her up and away from him. Sasuke placed a hand on Jūgo's shoulder and he relaxed. Emi looked down at her feet, feeling a bit ashamed. She turned and went back inside to change.
She changed back into her uniform and she gathered her things from the room. It seemed Suigetsu and Karin had been sent off to get dinner. That meant Sasuke and Jūgo were still up on the laundry platform. She creaked the door open, peeking outside. She quietly made her way down the hall. She froze, hearing Jūgo and Sasuke speaking from the staircase.
She jumped the railing landing on the platform to the first floor and hid under the set of stairs. She heard their voices trial down the hall and she hurried out of the back door to the inn. It was now or never. She did her best to his herself as she headed west. She reached the edge of town and turned back for one mere moment, before rushing off and heading back to Konoha.
