Dinner consisted of a very very small house party. Shikamaru, Ino, and Chouji arrived late in the afternoon. Emi had prepared a delicious meal of pork, rice, and much more. During their get together, Naruto and Sakura had arrived, invited by Chouji. Everyone was quite cramped in the small apartment. The kitchen was open to the bedroom which was also the main room.

"You sure have changed a lot since we were kids," Sakura noted to her as they ate.

"I thought so too!" Ino exclaimed. Both women looked at her chest.

"She was one of the o my people that actually spoke to Naruto," Shikamaru noted.

"Maybe she liked him?" Ino cooed.

"Ino!" Emi's face turned a bright red. She'd never even thought of anything like that.

"So it's true!" Ino stated.

"No..." Emi said, picking at her rice, pouting.

"She must have someone already, mean, she's so pretty," Chouji muffled through his eating.

"Never really thought of anything like dating to be honest," Emi admitted.

"Really?" Sakura asked.

"We should totally set you up on a blind date," Ino smiled.

"No, I'm alright. I'm just trying to become a genin and get some things taken care of. Then I'm planning on heading out again," Emi said.

"Oh come on! Just one date. It'll be harmless," Ino pressured.

"We'll make it a group date if it'll make you more comfortable," Sakura offered.

"But who are you guys going to bring?" Emi asked.

"I'll bring Sai, Naruto can bring Hinata, and Sakura can bring Lee," Ino planned.

"Ah, I don't know.... I've never really been good with this feeling stuff. Do I bring a gift or something?" Emi asked.

"What? No, the guy brings that," Ino chuckled.

Emi sat through the night awkwardly. They questioned her about her travels, her love life, her family, and many other things. The night went on for far too long in her opinion. Everyone left one by one. She felt much more comfortable with her space to herself finally. She was much happier, alone. The silence was great. At least, she thought it was. Right? She hasn't been so social in such a long time. She usually didn't stay in one place long enough to really get together or get to know people.

She sighed, heading to her so die. The moon was climbing up into the night sky. She gave a soft smile. It was like the moon was her friend, watching her and keeping her company in a nonevasive way. Her mind wandered to what the others had spoke about. She didn't feel the need to be with someone, nor did she care if she ended up with someone or not at the moment. She was quite content with her life as it was.

"What do you seem to be doing up?" A silver haired man poked his head in front of her, causing her to gasp and retract. He was on the roof, looking down and in at her.

"Who are you?" She asked, quite terrified.

"No one in particular," he said. His fave was covered by a mask. His shinobi headband covered his eye.

"Get out," she demanded, placing her hands on her hips. She gained an attitude at that moment.

"And why should I do that?" He asked.

"Because I don't know who you are," she stated.

"Is that the only reason?" He asked.

"Just get out," she pulled a lunar from her belt.

"Getting under your skin yet?" He asked, "Wonderful."

"Please just leave. I really want to go to bed," she said.

"You keep talking, but why don't you just use your weapon to force me out?" He asked.

"I... Whatever! Kill me in my sleep or do whatever you were going to do to me," she said, admitting defeat.

"You really lack motivation to kill," the man stated, a kunai to her throat.

She grabbed his arm, planting her feet in the ground and pulling him forward. She'd attempted to slam his body on the ground, however he'd recovered quickly, his kunai slicing her chin.

"Clever move," he stated.

She crossed her arms, a very displeased expression on her face. It was a standoff. The man did not move, nor did she. He stood so nonchalant, his hands in his pockets.

"Well?" He spoke up again.

"Goodnight," she said, moving to go to bed.

"Well then, you fail," his stated, going to leave.

"Fail? Fail what?" Emi asked, suddenly much more interested in what this man had to say.

"You're not going on to become a genin," he stated.

"Wait!" She exclaimed. The man paused.
