"Matt?" asked Shannon confused and a bit annoyed. "You know, I find it kind of weird that he always seems to bump into you...like I understand in class...but when he was the one that protected you from the paparazzi, the park...and now today? Who is this guy?" she asked sitting down. I just shrugged, she took me even more off guard than I already was... then Bryan piped in.
"You know, he's been trying to get close to me through tennis... he saw me one day and basically planned out a schedule for the both of us to play. I did find it a bit odd but he seemed like a pretty cool guy...plus a lot of chicks dig him so you know," he paused and put his hand behind his neck and continued, "I'm kind of using him to get girls," he finally admitted shrugging. Before I could say anything Shannon scoffed.
"Of course you would use him for that," she rolled her eyes and sighed before she continued, "either way, I find him sketchy and I'm not liking how we keep encountering him," she sighed.
"Yea...I know. But don't you think it was kind of my fault that I didn't message him?" I asked unsurely.
"Melissa," uh oh...when Shannon calls me by my full name...I'm screwed. "Get your head out of your ass. He is a grown man, you are are a grown woman. He can't be acting like a teenager! What the hell? Don't think that you're at fault here because you're not! You're not his girlfriend, he doesn't own you, so stop blaming yourself and don't feel bad! Because it doesn't make any sense!" she stopped by throwing her hands up in frustration. Bryan shrugged in agreement with her.
"I'm with her on this one Mel. Matt shouldn't be acting like a teenager," he said standing up and picking up his plate.
"Don't you dare get another plate! Mel hasn't even eaten yet!" Shan said in her special tone. I just laughed seeing the hesitation in Bryan's body language but he finally sighed and started washing the dishes instead. "Good. Now, Mel, go eat up before it gets too cold," she said standing up and handing Bryan her plate, which he ended up ripping out of her hand when she smiled at him. I just laughed at my friends. What dorks.
I served myself a plate of Shan's spaghetti and sat down on the couch to eat and watch Disney+.
What to watch what to watch- oh! I'll finish watching all the Star Wars movies so Chris can totally geek out when we hang out again.
As if on cue, Chris messaged me.
C- Hey, what are you up to?

What if I go pick you up... but I have finals....ha! What the hell am I kidding!
M- Oh yea? What'd you have in mind?
C- Dinner? Movies? Dodger?
