Ch. 3 I will protect them.

(Dawn pov)
I woke up and just sit there. It's been about two weeks since the kids got here and they've warmed up to me and Roger and Alpha Peter. I have told them every thing and they have met my real father. They even go on runs with me now. Suddenly Kota bolts up. He looks scared and he is breathing like he ran a marathon. I sit up and he looks at me. "Hey you ok?" I ask softly. He hugs my stomach and I rap my arms around him. I stroke his hair and rock him back and forth. "What's wrong Little Wolf?" I ask softly. "I had a bad dream. Where Alpha Darren took us back and hurt us to no end." Kota said and buried his face in my stomach. "Oh sh sh. It's all right. Every thing is all right. Ash is healing. You are healing and most importantly you're both safe. I wouldn't let that happen. Is Alpha Darren your Alpha?" I ask. He nods. I nod and hold him close. "You want to know what helps me when I have a bad dream?" I ask softly. "What?" He asked looking up at me. "A nice cup of hot chocolate. Do you want some?" I ask softly. "Um ok. What about Ash?" He asked. "One second. Ash baby wake up." I said softly as I move my thumb back and forth on her cheek. She woke up and yawned. "Kota and I are going down stairs to the kitchen. Come join us when you're fully awake." I said softly. She nods and went back to sleep. I kiss her hair good night and got up. I pick Kota up and he leans on me as I walk to the kitchen. I get to the kitchen and set him on the counter. I made hot chocolate and hand him the cup. He takes it and takes a drink. I smile a little when he smiles. "This is delicious." He said. "Now stay here while I get your sister." I said. He nods and I went up stairs. I pick up Ash. "Hey wake up. I'm taking you two to the doctor today. Just a check up." I said softly and she yawns. "Ok Dawn." She said. I went down stairs and find Roger holding Kota at the door. He's talking to some one. I went over. "Hey ready to go?" I ask him. "Yeah. But before we do Alpha Darren wants to talk with you." He said. I look at Alpha Darren. "Yes Alpha?" I ask. "I want my kids back!" He growls. "Ok. As soon as they heal properly. Because they will not leave this pack until then." I growl. He growls. "Surely, you haven't come to threaten my daughter and her orders?" Alpha Peter growls. "Of course not Alpha Peter. As soon as they healed they come back." Alpha Darren growls and walked away. "Are you really sending us back?" Kota asked. "O of course not. I just said that to get him to leave." I said and kiss her forehead. "Now let's go to the doctor." I said. We walk to the doctor and two different doctors see them. I stick with Ash and Roger sticks with Kota. "Well she is much better. I think the runs are helping." Dr. Marry said. I sigh with relief. "Thanks. Come on Ash." I said and she got up. She took my hand and we went to Kota and Roger. We got there as the doctor was telling Roger that Kota is fine. Ash went to Kota and they hug. "Well let's go." I said and we walk home. Kota and Ash are following. "Dawn?" Ash asked. "Yes?" I ask. "How long are you giving us to make our decision?" Kota asked. "As long as you need." I said. We got back to the house and I close the door behind us. "You two go play. I'll be in my office." They went to my room and I went to my office. I work on paper work and finish what I need to do for the next month so I can be with the pups. Besides an Alpha is coming in about a month. He's looking for his mate and I can't be super busy if I'm his mate. The good thing is his father, Alpha Mason, is a friend of king Draven's and he is like a father to me. He loves me like the daughter the never had and has vowed to always protect me. When I'm done with my paper work, I went to my room and find Kota and Ash a sleep. I lay down and rap my arms around them. After a few minutes I fell a sleep with the pups.
