Ch. 13 A talk.

(Dawn pov)
As I started to wake up, I could hear voices. "It's been a week. You can't keep telling me she'll wake up. I need to know she's ok." I hear. It's Alpha Peter. Then my feeling came back, with my hearing. Some one is holding my hand. It's Roger. I have his hand a squeeze as soon as I could move my hand and he squeezed my hand. "Dad I think she's waking up." He said and I moan. I slowly open my eyes, letting them get used to the bright light. Then I sat up and my head started to pound. "What happened?" I asked rubbing my temple. Roger hugs me and I hug back. The doctor comes and checks me when we let go of each other. Then Dustin and Josh come in. "Oh thank goodness you're awake. Are you ok Dawn?" Dustin asked as Alpha Peter left. "Yeah I'm fine." I said. "Now you will need some uh." The doctor starts. "It's ok. I was planning to tell them any way." I said. He nods. "You need some blood from a live host asap otherwise you could go into a coma for a very long time." He said sternly. "Ok. I'll get right on that." I said. "You can go then. But have some one with you just in case." He said. I nod and we got up. Roger followed me out. As we got out the door I'm meet by Alpha Dominic. "Alpha." I said. "We need to go." Roger said taking my hand and pulling me to the woods. He has me sit down and lean on a tree. Seeing as I'm still weak from the heat. He hunts down a small animal and brings it over. He bends down in front of me and put the animal to my lips. I bite it's neck and it squirms. I drain it of it's blood and then Roger threw it away. I felt better and he helps me up. "Thank you Roger." I said and he kissed my cheek. We went back to Alpha Peter's house and went in. Alpha Peter ran over and hugged me. I hug back. "Are you ok?" He asked. "Yes Dad. I'm fine." I said. "Wait. What about the pups? They must have been worried sick." I said. "Relax. When they woke up that night, I had them go to my room and I promised them you were ok." Roger said. "Then when I got home, I fed them and had them go to bed. Don't worry they were well taken care of the last week." Alpha Peter said stroking my hair. "Thanks Daddy." I said. "No problem baby." He said. He kissed my head. "I better go check on them." I said. I kiss his cheek and went to my room. I find my babies on the bed reading. "Hey you two." I said going to the bed. They look up and jump on me when I sit down. I hug them and they hug back. "I missed you two." I said. "We missed you too." Kota said. "I love you Mommy." Ash said. "I love you too." Kota said. "Oh I love you both with all my heart. I wouldn't trade you two for any thing." I said. "Not even your mate?" Kota asked. "Not even my mate. Because he's avoiding me." I said. "Why is he avoiding you?" Ash asked. "I don't know. But I don't like it." I said. "Now do you two want to stay here while I make dinner?" I ask. "No!" They said immediately. I chuckle and kiss their foreheads. "Ok then let's go." I said and they got up. I went down stairs. I start dinner as they sit at the table and then Roger and Alpha Peter come in with Dustin and Josh. "What are you doing?" Roger asked. "Getting ready for a date with Alpha Dominic." I said sarcastically. He rolled his eyes. "I'm making dinner." I said. "I know. I meant let me." He said. "Roger I'm fine. Please don't make me take a day off." I plead. "Fine. But don't over do you self." He said and I kiss his cheek. They sat down and when dinner was ready, every one got their plates. Roger helped me with the pups plates. We sit down and eat. "Hey Beta. Can I ask a question about Alpha Dominic?" I ask. "Shoot." He said. "How does he feel about vampires?" I ask and with that Roger and Alpha Peter payed more attention. "He hates them. He can't stand them. Why do you ask?" Dustin asked. "My mate hates me." I said laying my head on the table. "As for why I asked. I'm part vampire. My dad is a vampire." I said. Their eyes shift to Alpha Peter. "Oh not me. I'm her step father. Her birth father was a vampire." He said. They nod. "But I'm not just a vampire. I'm the vampire princess. Well vampire Queen. My father was king of vampires. But I rule now." I said. "Then why are you here?" Dustin asked. "Safety reasons. A lot of people want the crown and to do that they would have to be my mate. But I wouldn't to that to Alpha Dominic." I said. "Actually my father and Alpha Mason are good friends and Alpha Mason calls me the daughter he never had." I said. "Oh and not a word of this to Alpha Dominic. I will tell him." I said. They nod and Alpha Dominic comes in. He looks at me. "We need to talk." He said. I sigh. "Fine." I said getting up. "And I know where we can go." I said. "Hey watch the pups please." I told Roger as we left. We got to the door and I felt some thing in my leg. I look down and find Kota giving me puppy dog eyes. "Please don't go Momma." He said hugging my leg. I bend down to him. "How about you come with us?" I ask. He nods and I pick him up. "Where's Ash?" I ask. "Uncle Roger has her. He said one of us could go since it's dangerous." Kota said. "Good." I said. "How is it dangerous?" Alpha Dominic asked. "You'll piece that together later." I said and walked out the door. I walk to the woods with Alpha Dominic on my tail. As I walk I put Kota on my back and I hold on to his thighs. So I'm giving him a piggy back ride. I call tell Alpha Dominic's wolf doesn't like this. "Can you not carry him like that? My wolf is going insane." Alpha Dominic grumbled. "Tough." I said as I get to the my tree house and I push the hidden button. The ladder comes down. "Come on." I said Alpha Dominic as I start to climb. I got to the top and open the door. I climb through and let Kota off before letting Alpha Dominic in. I walk to the chair and sat down as he closed the door and looked around. Kota came and got in my lap. Alpha Dominic sat in another chair. "Why did you want to talk?" I ask. "I want to talk terms on if I accept you." He said. "That's a might big if Alpha." I said. "Just be quiet." He said. "Now now I can't do that. Because then you'll never shut up." I said stroking Kota's hair. He looks up at me and I hug him. He leans on me and I rap one arm around him. I use my other hand to stroke his hair. "Well if I accept you you will have to leave the pups. Because I will NOT accept those runts into my pack." He growls and I growl back not caring that he's an Alpha. No one calls my pups runts. "Well then you'll just have to reject me. Because I will NOT leave my pups." I growl not looking at him. "Besides if you did accept me you would regret it. So it would be better if you rejected me." I said. Kota looks at me and he realizes what I'm talking about. He leans on me and closed his eyes. "And why is that?" Alpha Dominic asked. "You hate vampires right?" I ask. "Yes. Vampires not you." He said. "What if I told you I'm part vampire?" I ask. "I wouldn't believe you." He said. "Well I am. I have the blood thirst, powers and immortality of a vampire." I said. "Mommy are you going to turn Ash and I?" Kota asked. "Well that depends on what you two want." I said and kiss his forehead. "How did you get vampire?" Alpha Dominic asked. "Alpha Peter isn't my real father. He's my step father. My birth father was the king of vampires." I said. "Was? What do you mean was?" He asked. "I'm the queen of vampires now." I said. He looks shocked. "HEY DAWN! I KNOW YOU'RE UP THERE! COME DOWN!" We hear and I got up. I set Kota in my chair and went to the balcony. I look down and see James. "WHY DON'T YOU COME UP?!" I call. He nods and I let the ladder down. He climbed up. He came through the trap door and Kota ran over to him. Kota hugs his neck. "Oof." James said when Kota collided with him. I chuckle as James comes in holding Kota. "Man you haven't changed a bit." He told me. "Ha ha. Now is there a reason you came?" I ask. "What? I can't visit my favorite girl with out a reason?" He asked setting Kota down. "Kota go to the kitchen and I'll be there in a minute." I said. "You have a kitchen in a tree house?" James asked. Alpha Dominic doesn't see to like his presence. "Yeah. Well this is also a hid out in case Dalton tries to come for me here." I said. "And who might this be?" Alpha Dominic asked after standing up. "Well I could asked the same thing of you." James said. "James the brother." James said. "Alpha Dominic the mate." Alpha Dominic said as they shake hands. "You mean the one that hasn't accepted my sister nor rejected her yet?" James asked. "Yeah. You knew about that?" Alpha Dominic asked. "You really think I could keep that a secret from him?" I ask. "Any ways there is some news you might want want to hear." James said turning to me. "What?" I ask. "Cody came out of his room and made a friend." James said. I'm shocked. Then I smile. "For real? Who?" I ask. "Tim." He said. "Little Timmy?!" I ask. "Yeah." James said. "Oh that's so great!" I said. "Well I better go. You have a meeting tomorrow." He said. I sigh. "Fine. Tell Cody after I'll watch a movie with him." I said. "Yes my queen." He said and left. I look at Alpha Dominic and he's glaring at me. "Yes?" I ask. He growls at my attitude. "Listen up Alpha I get it that you hate me. But you don't have to be rude about it. So you can just leave." I said and pointed to the door. "But." He starts. "No! Leave!" I said. He left and I went to the kitchen. I find Kota eating an apple. I made my own snack and sit beside him. We eat and talk about stuff. Then we went back and sat in a chair, Kota in my lap. I turn on my TV and after a few minutes we fell a sleep.
