Benny's P.O.V

He laughed at me. Ethan laughed at me hard.

"Why are you laughing? This is serious!" I yelled. "This is no laughing matter. You are in serious danger and trouble."

He laughed harder. I threw my arms in up in the air. It was obvious that I was not getting through to him.

"What else is new Benny?" He asked. "People wanna kill us every other week. If you just didn't want to tell me about you and Sarah you didn't need to make up some ridiculous story."

I looked at him with confusion. He honestly thought I was making this up? Why would I lie about this to him of all people?

"Ethan you gotta believe me that I'm not with Sarah. And I'm not making this up." I said "I have been avoiding getting close to you for the last two months because I didn't want you to worry about me or the situation. But yesterday your vision... I can't hide it anymore. I can't be selfish anymore."

His eyes widened. I watched him process my words. I saw him go through at least 10 emotions at once. He looked at me in disbelief, hurt and anger. I won't lie,it hurt me more telling him then trying to keep the situation under wraps.

"So you both didn't trust me" he seethed. He dropped his head and balled his fists

"No E, it's the opposite," I said sliding my hands down his arms "We wanted to make sure that any plan we made would effectively work against R.E.V," My hands reached his and I held on to his " We didn't want to.."
He pushed me away, Hard.

" You speak of 'We this' and 'we that' who is this fucking 'we'?" He asked roughly.

I sighed." Sarah, Erica, Jesse and myself."
His face twisted in disgust
"Look we didn't tell because you already do so much for us we wanted to protect you"

"By protecting me you mean lying to me for two months straight? By avoiding me? By lying to me?" He shouted " You are supposed to be my best fucking friend Benny, but you go behind my back and pull this shit? Some friend you are."

"E, I'm sor-"

" I thought we had a deal when got into this no more hiding. No more secrets."

"Ethan I'm really sorry."

"Your sorry?" He growled " I have been literally killing myself these last two months wondering why you've been avoiding me. Literally racking my brain wondering if I pissed you off or if I offended you but no you were tucked away in a little group thinking of ways to protect me. But listen here I don't need protection and I certainly don't need you. I hate you Benny Weir"

Tears were streaming down his face. The silence in the room was so deafening. My ears rang with his words 'I hate you Benny Weir'.I wanted nothing more than to hold him and tell him that I loved him and that I would never hurt him this way ever again.

I reached out him but he pulled away. My heart broke a little more.
"Ethan please," my voice just above a whisper " I never meant to hurt you."

"You should have thought of that before you sent me spiraling" he said. "Just get out of my house and never talk to me again."

"Ethan please" I reached out again.
" GET. OUT." He yelled pointing to his window.

I nodded and left his room through his window. Once I was in his backyard he pulled his rope ladder up and slammed his window. I walked back to my grandma's house my brain ringing with his hatred and anger towards our friends but mainly me. I reached my room and to find Sarah waiting for me.

"I'm tired. Please leave me alone" I said.

"I'm guessing he didn't take it well?" Sarah asked

"No Sarah he fucking hates us. He hates that we have been going behind his back and didn't involve him and he hates me for not trusting him." I broke the dam of tears I've been holding back. "He hates me Sarah, he hates me and wants nothing to do with me" she hugged me and comforted. I felt like my world was ending and there was nothing that I could do about it.
