The dreaded day had finally arrived.... Court. I had explained to Evelien that I had four kids, and she was prepared to be a stepmother figure for them.

"Mr McLoughlin.." the judge said. "I am aware that you have made something more of your life.." I nodded. "But I am afraid to say that that will have no effect on this verdict."

"Your honour, what do you mean?" I asked.

"Never in my time in this career have I seen a case like this.... but I am sorry to say that you have been conned for years." I was confused. "Maybe she also believed that this were the case, but at the moment... your ex wife is being hooked up to a lie detector test."

"Are you... Are you saying those kids... are not my kids?" I asked, feeling my heart shatter as the judge nodded. Evelien held my hand tighter as she felt my pain. "How?"

"Miss Hansen was seeing another man.. and when the two of you tried to conceive, she was already pregnant with another man's child.." He explained. "I am sorry.. but you are not the father."

"I am so sorry, babe.." Evelien was in tears. "I.. I can't imagine what you could possibly be feeling.."

"I feel... betrayed.." I took a deep breath. "I'm glad I'm done with her... I... I can't imagine... I can't imagine what would've happened if I was still married to her, and I found out that she had been cheating on me... and her kids were not mine.."

"I'm so sorry.." She gave me a hug. "I really don't know what to say.."

"I hope those kids get to live accomplished lives.." I said.

"They will.." She said, kissing me on the cheek. "I love you.."

"I love you back," I smiled.

After the absolute blindside, the man Signe was cheating with was determined to be the man behind the handprint on Sylvie's face. He was charged with four counts of child abuse. Signe, on the other hand, was charged with four counts of child endangerment. I was able to speak to the kids who were informed about everything via video chat.

"Hey.." I said. "This is... a lot.."

"Yeah.." Sylvie said. "Um... So what's happening to my mum?"

"She's getting put in jail.." I explained. "For putting you, your sister and your brothers in danger.."

"Oh.." she said. "Mum told us that we should hate you... but... Throughout our lives.. you were the only dad we had.." I nodded.

"I'm so sorry that that happened to you.." I said. "I wasn't aware that I'm not your father... until today.." I paused. "But Sylvia... Cera... SJ... Alex.... No matter what your mother has said or done to you.... I love you guys... and I need you to promise me something, okay?" They all nodded in agreement to one another. "Take care of each other.... and live your best lives... The courts made sure to put in your records that you are not allowed to be separated in any way..." The kids started smiling.

"Thank you... Da- um.. I mean... Seán.." Sylvia said. "For raising us like we were yours.. and for loving us for all these years..."

"I love you guys.." I smiled as the call ended. "That... That was truly.. all I needed... to make sure they were going to be okay." Evelien laid her head on my shoulder. "Can we get out of here now? I wanna cuddle BB..."

"Sometimes I wonder if you're more into BB than you are into me.." Evelien teased.

"You're both hotties.." I said, and she laughed. "I'll never get tired of that laugh!"

VidCon week was here before we knew it, and we had landed in Anaheim, California. I had booked us an Airbnb, and when we arrived, Evelien insisted we went swimming. We were in town before the convention had officially commenced, so I thought, "Why not?" She changed into a strappy black bikini and pulled her hair up into a ponytail whilst I changed into my favourite swimsuit.

"You found... flamingo... trunks?" She laughed in disbelief. "Honestly, why am I not surprised?" I posed dramatically. "Geesh.."

"I look dashing, and you know it.." I sassed, and we went outside to the pool. "Do you dare me?"

"I'm scared to know what you're asking..."

"Do you dare me?" I gave an ornery smile.

"Seán..." Evelien caught on.

"I'm gonna fecking do it.. You bet your ass.." I said, backing up. "Dare me?"

"You're gonna do it whether I say so or not.." she laughed. I shrugged and took off running.

"CANNONBALL!" I splashed out a large portion of the water when I went under. I popped my head back out to find my girlfriend standing nearby, dripping. "Nailed it?" She laughed and jumped in.

"You are the weirdest person.." She giggled as she came back up from the water. "But I wouldn't want to be with anyone else..."

"Well.... Now that all of the court stuff is over... and we're Twitter official.." I smiled. "I guess the next thing is to have a bunch of fans attack us at VidCon in a few hours." Evelien's eyes widened. "Don't worry, baby.. I'll protect you.." I jokingly flexed my muscles, making her blush.

"We should probably get ready," she said. "After all.... my hair is soaked.."

"Yeah.." I climbed out. "I gotta make sure I look fabBOO!" Evelien laughed at my stupid joke. "I'm so glad you're the only one who saw that..." I took her hand, helping her up on dry land before grabbing her towel. I draped it over her before we walked inside.
