Cheryl's POV

It had been two days since I heard from Toni and I was getting fucking antsy.

"Cheryl...you're drinking at 10am again," Betty said entering my room. "Do you want me to tell Josie?"

"I have nothing better to do with my time! Why won't she fucking call me?" I yelled slamming the bottle of Bushmills Irish whiskey on the table. "And if you tell Josie I'll hang you upside down from the chimney by your hair. That little  ponytail you love so much? Gone."

She looked at me like she couldn't tell if I was joking or not. "I'll take your word for it. Anyway, I came in here to tell you your brother's here."

"Jason's here?" I say excitedly. "Why didn't you say that first? Move the fuck out the way." I push her to the side, running through the hallway and down the stairs to meet my brother.

As soon as I saw him, I screamed and ran into his arms. "JJ! What the hell are you doing here?"

"Well I came to visit you and to invite you guys to the grand re-opening of my club in Vancouver," He says with a warm smile. My brother was my best friend and we spent every minute together as kids. He never cared for the traditions or responsibilities and as soon as I was old enough, he passed all of his birth rights to me. Now he's a successful businessman and one of the richest bachelor's in North America.

"Grand re-opening? I thought you opened that club months ago?" I ask.

"I did but opening a club just for the mystical beings of the world isn't gaining enough ground, so I've decided to open it up to mortals as well."

"Wow really? What has mother said about it?" I laugh and he rolled his eyes.

"I don't know and I don't care. She can take all that negative energy and put it towards purchasing a new nose." We both laughed then. I had missed my brother so much and even though I'd never tell him, I appreciate everything he's done for me. "You know me, I always have the best entertainment and all of you will drink for free. What do you say?"

"Alright, we'll be there," I say and he high fives me.

"Great! Make sure you bring your cute human too," He said raising an eyebrow and I blushed, immediately being caught off guard.

"What are you talking about?" I mentally cursed myself for not being able to hide my feelings from my brother.

"Do you think I'm an idiot? You act like I can't sense you. Your attachment to her is stronger than our parents ever was," He said shaking his head and I sighed. "What do you expect to come out of this?"

"I don't know. I can't just shake her off like some lint. You know how attachment works for us," I say running my fingers through my hair in frustration.

"Yes and you also know that the bounding could fucking kill her," He says but I ignore him when my ringtone fills the room. I pull my phone out of my pocket seeing Toni's contact on the screen.

"Oh my god shut the fuck up its her," I say walking over to the dining room.

"You can't avoi-," He starts but I shush him.

"Hey," I say when I answer. Jason walks over to try to hear the conversation but I swat him away.

"Yeah sure I can do that. Okay I'll see you then. Bye!" I hang up the phone and immediately run up the wall to the ceiling. "She wants me to meet her at Beverly Beach!"

I danced on the ceiling while Josie and Kevin entered the living room. They looked at me then my brother, who just shook his head in disappointment.
