A/N: i've decided to put little recaps at the beginning of my chapters so you guys can stay with the story line w/out re-reading :)

Previously on A Simple Question:
Toni's POV
"Are you sure I can't walk you to your room?" She says as I step out of the car.

"No it's okay. I'm going to my friends room not mine and she doesn't know I went on a date yet. But I had a great time," I say. She smiles and promises to text me as soon as she makes it home.

She finally peels off in the car and I watch her leave. "Ugh, I'm so tired," I say softly out loud.

"Yeah, me too." I hear from behind me and spin around to find the one and only, Cheryl Blossom.

"Running around after you all over town has put some wear on me."

••
Sam's POV

"I'm close," I said. "I think she's developing some type of feelings for me."

"Why are you using Cheryl's girl? Just go talk to her and fix things," The girl said filing her nails at the vanity.

"It's not that easy, Mani," I sigh throwing myself on her bed. "Cheryl is stubborn and won't listen to reason unless by force."

"You guys are always so violent and for what? Do you see me out here getting into blood feuds with people? Hell no."

I sat up contemplating how to respond. Normani was my closest friend and confidant, she should know about Cheryl and I's history together.

"I've seen many things over my life. As a kid, I always wanted to live up to my great great grandfather's legacy. He was a revolutionary war hero and always fought for what was right. Well, one day after school I came home and found my parents dead, both of them shot during a robbery."

"Oh my god Sam," Normani says softly.

"My brothers came home later and found me in the living room sitting between our parents corpses. They were the ones who called the police. After that, we were sent into foster care and then were adopted by the Blossoms. Mr. Blossom was the nicest man and so was Cheryl. Despite her being much older than me, we became best friends. As the years passed, we figured out that they were like you and we were fine with it. Clifford even gave us a choice, either go through the Claiming and be a part of the family forever or when we turned 18 we could leave and he would still financially support us."

"Oh so the blossoms are like rich rich?" Normani asks and I nodded.

"Everything seemed to be going great Mani. When I turned, I wanted to change the world for the better, use those gifts to be a hero. But then Clifford died mysteriously and Penelope put us back up for adoption. Once we were old enough, my brothers left me. Now that I'm Cheryl's age if she was mortal, I won't stop until she gives me my right, bestowed upon me by our father."

"If this is all true, why can't she remember you?"

I got angry thinking about how Penelope destroyed my future and our family. "Penelope had a witch put a block on her mind. Since she hasn't seen me in so long, she has no recollection of me to help break the block, which means to her I'm the enemy," I knew very well that Cheryl could rip me to shreds but at this point I didn't care.

"Which means...Normani, Sam's going to have to kick her ass and do some magic sisterly bonding so that she can have her family back." Lauren entered the room then with her girlfriend in tow, whose name I had already forgotten.

"Whatever, you know I ride for you always but if that chick kills me I'm haunting you," Normani says rolling her eyes. "And I still don't understand why you're involving Toni, but by all means, go for it."
