(Y/N) First Christmas With the Rose (Short)

(N/A/N: Hello and welcome to my first Holiday Special. I want to try something new and plus I want to explore (Y/N) with the Rose Family before the abused. So think of this as a Prologue 2.5. Anyway, I might do more in the future to show what was like with the Rose family before the abused. So that said, Merry Christmas and enjoy.)

No One POV

Today is Christmas Eve and The Rose family getting ready to celebrate Christmas day tomorrow. Ruby helping her mother Summer baking gingerbread cookies, Raven telling stories to Yang, then finally Tai and Qrow drinking eggnog together. As everyone is having fun, there was one missing among the family. Once Summer puts the gingerbread cookies in the oven, Ruby ran out to the living room and looked around. After one looked around the room, she began to worry. It didn't take long for Yang to notice Ruby looking worried. Yang rushes over to her younger sister and ask.

Yang: What's wrong Ruby?

Ruby: I don't see big brother anywhere.

Yang looked around the room to see her adopted brother is nowhere to be seen.

Yang: strange? Let's go see dad ok?

Ruby: Ok.

Ruby and Yang walk over to Tai to ask him. Once they got close to their dad, Yang began to ask.

Yang: Dad?

Tai: Yes Yang?

Yang: Ruby was wondering where's (Y/N) is. Do you know where he is?

Tai looked confused at his daughter. He began to look around the living room to find (Y/N). After looking around, he can't seem to see (Y/N) around the room. But them, Tai thought of something, then he thought of something.

Tai: Maybe he's in his room.

Ruby: Then, why is big brother not here?

Tai: I don't know. Maybe you and your older sister should get him.

Ruby: Ok.

The two sisters began to way up stairs to (Y/N)'s room. Once they were at (Y/N)'s room, Ruby opened the door and the two sisters saw (Y/N) still sleeping on his bed. The two sisters walk towards their sleeping  adopted brother and try to wake him up.

Ruby: (Y/N)...*Poking (Y/N) face* Big Brother...time to get up.

Yang: *shake (Y/N)* Yeah (Y/N), time to get up.

(Y/N): *groan* 5 more minutes.

As Ruby was thinking of a way to wake up her adoptive brother, Yang had an idea.

Yang: If you get up, then I guess you won't get any gingerbread cookies.

(Y/N) immediately sat up off his bed wide awake.

(Y/N): You had me at Gingerbread.

The three kids ran down stairs were everyone else is. Once the three kid got down stairs, they turn on the T.V. to watch their favorite shows together. They would take turns switching channels to the next. Ruby would watch anything hero related shows, Yang would watch anything action, and (Y/N) would watch anything with (F/C). (N/A/N: Favorite Category).

*TimeSkip*

After time has passed with the same routine for the family, they all have lunch together and then went back to what they were doing before. But the only thing different was that the three kids were outside playing in the snow. Each one was building a snow sculpture. Ruby is building a snow sculpture of her Uncle Qrow, Yang was building a snow sculpture of a Beowolf so she can destroy it later once it done. And finally (Y/N) building a snow sculpture of Spider-Man/his father. Once everyone is done there snow sculpture, Yang destroy hers snow sculpture like she plan, Ruby looked at her snow sculpture then hugged it, and (Y/N) just sit down and admire his snow sculpture. He looked at it long and hard then imagine that is his dad still alive standing there waiting for a hug. After when Yang is done destroying her Beowolf snow sculpture and Ruby hugging hers, they turned to (Y/N) to see hows he's doing. Once they turned to (Y/N), the two saw that he made a Spider-Man snow sculpture. They rush over to compliment him. As (Y/N) was staring his snow sculpture, he heard Ruby and Yang voices.
