(Y/N)'s First Valentine's Day With the Rose (Short)

(N/A/N):Ok, so. I wanted to say that Chapter 10 is in progress. And like in the Christmas special, I said "I want to explore (Y/N) with the Rose Family before the abuse" so I'm going to do that. So that being said, enjoy and Happy Valentine's Day.

No One POV

Today was a lovely day with the Rose family. The snow almost melted completely, and in the living room of the Rose's family house, Everyone's gathered around getting ready to pass their Valentine's Day gift to one another. Tai cleared his throat and asked.

Tai: Ok, role call to see if everyone is here. First, Summer.

Summer: Here

Tai: Qrow.

Qrow: Hey.

Tai: Raven.

Raven: Present

Tai: Ok then. Ruby.

Ruby: HERE!

Tai: Yang.

Yang: Ready!

Tai: and finally...(Y/N).

The family all looked around and didn't see him.

Tai: Huh, strange. Where is he?

Qrow: He told me that he needs to find his gift in his room.

Tai: Oh...well, let's just hope it doesn't take too long. Let's just wait for him to find his gift.

Ruby: Can I help him?

Summer: No Ruby, he'll be down here any moment now. And besides, It's a gift, we can wait.

Ruby: Awww, ok mom.

So the family decided to just talk for a bit while (Y/N) find his gift for his new family. Meanwhile, (Y/N) is looking through his room.

(Y/N): *groan* *thoughts* Where is it? It got to be somewhere around here.

After he looked through his closet, his toy-box, and maybe behind his drawers, but nothing. As he was trying to remember what yesterday. Then it hit him. He remembered that he slept on the floor last night for some reason. He walks over to his bed and lifts up his mattress to find a 4 foot cut out of a heart that is folded up in half vertical like a card. It has drawings of roses and small hearts and has half of the sentence that said. "-tine's Day!"

(Y/N): *thoughts* Now I remember. I decided to put it in my bed for. I didn't know where I could put it so no one could see it. And I didn't want to crush my Valentine's Day gift, so I slept on the floor.

Then he began to have a flashback to last night.

*FlashBack*

(Y/N) was getting ready to go and sleep on the floor. He put his Valentine's Day gift underneath his mattress so he can hide it from his family. Right as he was about to close his eyes, Summer walked in to see if (Y/N) is asleep, but she looked at (Y/N) laying on the floor. Summer began to question the young boy confused.

Summer: (Y/N), why are you on the floor?

(Y/N): Um...I just want to be weird for today...?

With that being said, Summer nodded at his response.

Summer: O...k then...see you tomorrow my son.

(Y/N): Ok, goodnight.

Summer smiles at the boy and closes the door. (Y/N) sigh in relief didn't expect it to work.

(Y/N) grabbed his Valentine's Day gift and ran downstairs. Meanwhile with the Rose family. They all were trying to guess what (Y/N)'s Valentine's Day gift is.
