I woke up the next day hungover but I forced myself to ignore it. I needed to talk to Callie right away. I threw on the same clothes I had on the night before and headed out of my room to hers.

I stopped in front of her door and took a deep breath. Nervous didn't begin to cover what I was feeling. We had kissed and she seemed to not like it, at all. Of course, I hoped I read her actions wrong but, with her pushing me away I didn't think I had. I finally got enough nerve to knock on the door. I waited for what probably was only a few seconds but felt like years before knocking again. Waiting again, I leaned my ear against the door to try and hear any movement but heard none. I realized then that we had drunk a lot and she could not be okay.

I ran back to my room and picked up the phone calling the front desk. "I need room 450 opened for me, please. My friend isn't answering and I am worried about her," I quickly spoke when I heard someone answer on the other end.

"Um... I'm sorry, Sir. Your friend checked out about an hour ago," the woman told me. I thanked her and hung up the phone. I picked my cell phone and called Callie. It rang twice before going to voicemail. I dialed it again but it didn't ring this time, telling me that she had turned her phone off. I sighed and threw my phone on the bed sitting beside it with my head in my hands. She had left without telling me and now she was ignoring me which meant I had screwed up more than I thought. I decided that I couldn't let this go so, I stood up and quickly packed my bag.

I got on the elevator and went to the front desk to check out before jumping in my car and heading back to Brownston. I tried to come up with an idea that would lead to me getting Callie to forgive me but couldn't think of one especially since I wasn't completely sure just how much she was upset with me or why. My thoughts were interrupted when my phone started ringing. I pushed the button on the steering wheel to answer and heard Daisy's voice before I even said hello.

"What did you do to her?" She shouted at me.

"What do you mean? Callie? Is she with you?" I forced questions at her quickly.

"Yes." She stated and I waited for her to continue but she didn't.

"Daisy!" I shouted. I was now speeding up and weaving in and out of traffic trying to get to Callie as soon as I could.

"She looked like she had been crying her eyes out the whole way home in her Uber!" Daisy told me. I sighed. I had made her cry and that made me feel like shit.

"I don't know what happened," I honestly told her.

"Well, she told me it was nothing and went straight to her room."

"Last night we went out and started drinking," I started. "When we got back to her room, we kind of... kissed."

"Yes! Wait, then why?" Daisy started.

"Daisy, I don't know. She pushed me away so, I went back to my room. I mean I didn't want her to feel like I was pressuring her into anything."

"Wait she kissed you then pushed you away?" I nodded before realizing she couldn't see me but didn't get a chance to vocalize my answer. "What did she do after she pushed you away?"

"She turned around to open her door."

"You are stupid, you know that right?" She growled through the phone at me. I sighed.

"What do you mean?"

"She is in love with you," Daisy was whispering now making me realize that Callie may be near her.

"Is Callie near you?" I asked excitedly. I just needed to talk to her.

"No," Daisy sighed. "I just know she wouldn't want me telling you this after you rejected her." My eyebrows furrowed.
