Callie

The morning of the game was busy. Colt woke up early, kissing me until I woke up telling me that he wanted to start a new superstitious tradition by making love to me the morning of the game. I laughed, but agreed to it.

After, he kissed me quickly before heading to the shower. My phone rang, showing my mom's name on the screen with a video icon next to it telling me it was a video chat. "Hi, mom," I answered, moving underneath the blanket more so she couldn't see that I wasn't wearing any clothes.

"Momma!" I heard Callies voice come through the phone before her face came into view.

"Hi, baby. Did you have fun with everyone?" I asked her with a smile seeing her nod her head.

"Where's daddy?" She asked me, looking like she is trying to look past me.

"He is getting ready for the game. Are you excited to watch him play?" She nodded again.
"Me too. I will see you at the game. Make sure you are good, okay?" I gave her a stern mom look.

"I promise," she yelled before my mom's face was on the screen.

"Are you still in bed?" She said with a scolding tone. I sighed and opened my mouth to talk before being cut off. "Get up and get ready, you have to be on your toes for anything Colt needs today." I rolled my eyes. I sometimes think she likes him better than she does me.

"I am fine, Mrs. B," I heard Colt, say from the doorway to the bathroom. Looking over, my eyes widened when I saw him in just a towel. The water dripping over his ab's and his hair darker than normal because it was still wet.

"Callie! Callie Barton!" I heard mom's voice making me force my eyes away from the glorious body that belonged to the father of my child.

"Huh?"

"I said is that Colt? Let me speak with him," mom huffed obviously annoyed that I hadn't been paying attention.

"I... Um... He is getting ready, mom," I stumbled over telling her, not wanting her to see him half naked and feeling slightly awkward that she would know that we were in the same room when he was naked. Even though we had a child together, there was something about your parents actually seeing an evidence as to how that happened.

"Fine," she sighed, "just tell him we all said good luck and we will see him at the barbeque afterward." I nodded as my eyes shifted back to Colt, who was now drying his hair with the towel that had been around his waist not caring that he was on display for me or that I was talking to my mother. I could see the smirk on his face. He was doing this on purpose. I pushed the end button before mom could say anything else, knowing I would hear from her later but not caring.

"That was not funny," I narrowed my eyes at Colt, who let out a hearty laugh.

"I thought it was," he said, shrugging and walking into the closet.

"You know now I am going to feel awkward sitting with her through the game. Especially since I will be thinking about that the whole time, probably unable to even focus properly on the game." I threw the blankets back and stood from the bed hearing him laugh again. "Maybe I just shouldn't go," I added trying to sound like I meant it. He came stomping out of the closet, buttoning his jeans.

"Now, that isn't funny!" He frowned at me, causing me to laugh at getting the reaction I had wanted out of him.

"I'm kidding," I said, walking up to him and throwing my arms around his neck. "I wouldn't miss it for the world," I said kissing his lips. He visibly relaxed and wrapped his arms around my waist. "I love you and you will do great today. And I will be cheering you on the entire time." Colt nodded, leaning his forehead against mine.
