We had won the game and it felt great, especially knowing that it was the first win that involved both Maddy and Callie. I had celebrated wins with Callie before, but with Maddy and my plans for this afternoon, this win would be the best of them all.

"You ready man?" Jarome asked, coming up behind me as I slung my gym back over my shoulder. I nodded. My hair was still wet, but Jarome had promised to help me out with the press since my nerves were pretty much shot today. "Let's go then," he slung his arm around my shoulder, pulling toward the door, "remember, deep breaths," he reminded me about what he had schooled me on days before as he pushed the door open.

After I spoke with and answered questions from several journalists, Jarome told them that was all for the day and ushered me to another set of doors that several other players were about to walk through. When the doors opened, I noticed a crowd of women and children, my eyes instantly going to Callie. She was to the side of the crowd talking with Liz and a woman I believed to be named Amy.

"Daddy!" I heard Maddy yell another small voice mixed with her's before I saw her and Cleo come running toward us. The few women that were in the way, moved so they could get through. I scooped her up and she kissed my cheek, leaving it wet. I laughed and kissed her all over her face.

"Giggles! How are you?" I bounced her and walked toward Callie. "What have you been up to?"

"I watched you play football," she giggled wrapping her arms around my neck.

"You did?" I faked shock. "Was I any good?" I asked, looking at Callie, who was now in front of me. Maddy nodded, but I didn't look away from Callie wanting her to answer the question.

"You did," she said, standing on her tip toes and moving around Maddy to kiss me.

"Yeah?" I raised a brow, trying to clarify. She nodded. I swung an arm around her shoulder, pulling her into me and kissed the top of her head.

"Are we going to get going to this barbeque? I'm hungry," Jarome said, drawing my attention away from the girls in my arm.

"Yeah, let's," I nodded at him.

"Our parents, Daisy and Tucker and your friends, went on ahead to start setting up," Callie said looking up at me. I nodded before looking at Jarome and Liz who were watching us, Jarome sending me a wink before he turns himself and Liz away from us and walks off. "What was that?" Callie asks.

"Don't worry about it," I grunt. Jarome was going to ruin everything if he kept it up. I knew by the look on Callie's face that she didn't want to not worry about it and that she would bring it up later. I tugged her closer and kissed her before beginning to walk to the car.

When we had gotten back to the house, people had already started arriving. I smiled and introduced Callie to a few teammates that were there that she hadn't met yet, my manager and a few of my neighbors that I had decided to invite.
