"Well? Did you find anything?" Glen asked while he was grinding something. Sir Dialton just came back from his rounds including the 5 km radius from the village. He sat down beside Glen.

"The lady is correct." Sir Dialton said. This means that bandits are in their way towards the small village. Even though it is just a small village, it is still considered as rich for every kind of crops grew well with the fertile soil with the help of Ortezca's revolutionary idea of agriculture. The village also had procured a lot of animals that had been so multiplied as well. As of now, the village has bountiful amount of food which can feed the whole kingdom of Faseeil for 15 years. If the bandits were to ransack the small village, Ortezca's efforts were gone to waste.

"By the way...how is the lady?" Sir Dialton asked. It has been two days. Ortezca's fever went down but she did not stop from going back on doing her daily routine. Glen slammed his hand on the table.

"Still stubborn like her late mother. Sheesh...that girl always gives her best until to the point that she can't stand anymore...even now, she asked me to do this.." Glen showed the contents of the bowl to Sir Dialton. Upon seeing it, Sir Dialton recognized it as poison, judging by the foul smell.

"What on earth is she asking you to do??"

"She said to wipe this on the arrows of the villagers for the upcoming raid of the bandits," Glen explained. Sir Dialton only hummed in response. He then glanced at the bottles beside Glen.

"And those?" Dialton pointed at the bottles with tails inside. "Ah. Those are explosives...it has a name...what did Ortez call it again....ah molotovs." Glen explained.

"....and those...?" Sir Dialton pointed at the farthest part of the room. There were big, long cylindrical shape made of pure iron with wheels attached in it, there were also long small cylindrical shape with handles in them. These made Dialton curious.

"Weapons...as what Ortez had said. She told me to prepare gun powder." Glen said."how do these things work?" Sir Dialton asks as he picks up the small long cylindrical shape with a handle and what seems to be a trigger and pulled on it but nothing happened.

"Grandpa Glen! Is my gunpowder ready?" Ortezca said as she slammed the door open.

"Oh. Yes, yes, it is already done. So, how do you use these?" Glen asks Ortezca who immediately ran towards one of the shotguns to inspect it.

"Please tell the villagemen to round up in the cliff and ask the women to stay inside their houses with the kids. Keep the chickens and other animals inside the barn too." Hearing this made Sir Dialton and Glen looked at each other worryingly.

Once everyone were in the cliff, Ortezca asked Glen and Dialton's help to point the cannons far away from them. She then explained how the cannons work ot the village men.

"Please do not be afraid of what will happen next, ok? Do not panic either. These weapons are very deadly but I only want to use these to protect the village." Ortezca said and signaled Glen to load the cannons. She then asked Dialton to light it up. After 3 seconds a loud blast with smoke came out from the cannon and 3 km away afar from their village came a loud explosion with 10 meter range of affected area. The village men were astonished.

"With these...we wont need to use swords! And arrows!" They cheered for themselves. Ortezca once again pulled them back from their glee to introduce the shotgun next. She showed the villagers how to load it and then She pointed it towards a tree and pulled the trigger. There was a blast once again and the damage done to the tree was that its bark were destroyed and there was a hole inside.

"...whoa..scary. So these are the power of these tools, huh?" Glen muttered which Sir Dialton could only nod. They both stared at Ortezca who was busy tutoring the village men how to use the weapons.
