While walking in the long hallway of the Holminne ducal house, Rudevich spotted maids gossiping to each other by the garden near the fountain. It was getting rowdy so he decided to see what seems to be the problem. As he was getting nearer, he stopped upon hearing Ortezca's name.
"Dorothy! Are you sure that Suvvell-sama visited?! If you, please ask for his help! He needs to find lady Ortezca! Let them be betrothed once again! You have been exchanging letters with Melody, right!?"
"Shush! Who am I to ask for his help?? I am just a lowlife maid! Even if i want to help my lady so badly...." Dorothy was in a verge of tears, making the other maids cry too. Ever since Melody left, Dorothy became the head maid of the house.
"My lady..she has been enduring hardships so much...her body is slowly deteriorating...what is she going to do now the winter is coming?! I am so worried!!" Dorothy cried out when suddenly they all heard a rustle behind a rose bush as high as a wall, making them stop in silence.
"Who's there?!" Dorothy placed her arm to guard the maids behind her and grabbed a small knife hidden in the scabbard strapped in her right thigh.
"...excuse me.." Rudevich slowly showed himself raising both of his hands. The maids gasped.
"D-duke Suvvell?! How come... you...you heard us??" Dorothy pales. She is doomed. Duke Holminne does not even know the whereabouts of his banished daughter-only dorothy and the other maids since they exchange letters with melody so they knew the whereabouts of their dear lady. Now that duke suvvell overheard it, what now?
"I mean no harm..i did not even plan to eavesdrop...i just happened to hear you talking..... so...." the duke smiled apologetically towards the maids. Dorothy sighed. No can do then.
"So... what do you plan to do..? Now that you know that we had still connection with the lady...what do you plan to do?"
"I have no such intention to go to where she is. In fact i have no care as to whatsoever might happen to her, since she deserves to be banished because of her unruly behavior towards the baron's daughter and the behavior that she displayed during her stay in the academy...she really is driven too much by her jealousy, don't you think? If only she controlled more of her emotions, she would not have been banished," rudevich said calmly, making dorothy and the other maids mad.
"You take that back! How dare you say that about our lady like that! You do not know anything! And what is this about unruly behavior? The one who is displaying unruly behavior was the baron's daughter herself! She tormented and bullied lady ortezca everyday! She even flirted with that idiotic prince even though he had already a fiancee!" One maid exclaimed.
"Then how can you explain the fact that lady holminne fought with lady dickens?" Duke Rudevich asked.
"Of course our lady wont go back down with a fight! Though that fight wasn't really out of jealousy... she snapped because of Lady dickens' bullying, and punched her face." Dorothy pursed her lips preventing her from laughing but the other maids were almost emitting 'pfft' sounds which meant that they could not contain their laughter, making duke suvvell frown.
"What is so funny?"
" i am terribly sorry, it is just that..that incident when the two fought each other was so vivid that i still could not help but reminisce about it..."
"Just, what apexactly happened?"
"Our lady went home with a slightly disheveled appearance, cut lip, a bite mark on her left cheek and a large bump on her forehead. When we asked her what happened, she spat blood before tellingus what happened. She told me that everyone of lady dickens entourage got a black eye including lady dickens herself..but of course, since lady ortezca was against so many of them, they outnumbered her...but at least she fought for herself..she is quite a tomboy now, isn't she? Oh dear.., what am i doing, getting teary eyed once again.." dorothy wiped her eyes using the apron.
"I have a favor to ask.." duke suvvell said.
"Could you tell me her location?" Duke Suvvell asked earnestly.
