"Duke Holminne is currently in the castle, lord Suvvell." The soldier said. Duke Suvvell came to the Holminne mansion by horse. "How about his two sons?" He asked. "They too were in the castle, sorting things out." The soldier said. Duke suvvell came the wrong time. He galloped his way to the castle grounds. Some of his soldiers were off duty and were helping tending to the sick. There were some tents here and there. The situation is definitely getting worse during the time he was gone. He saw duke Jeremy and quickly ran to him.
"Duke!"
"Duke Suvvell! I am ever so glad that you are here. The idiot cousin of yours just ran off with his tail between his legs, leaving this problem to us....I thought that you ran off too just like your cousin, but seeing that is not the case, i am glad," hearing him say this, Rudevich could not help but surprised.
"My apologies duke Suvvell, father is like that if he gets too tired," a voice placates him.it was Robert, Jeremy's eldest son. "It is fine, i understand, given the situation...now that i am here, please let me help." Rudevich said. Robert is only 17 years old but he is so mature for his age.
Ever since his sister was banished, he had been training himself not to be like his sister who is always doing whatever she pleases. He resented his sister for being a callous woman-falling in love with a good for nothing prince at that.
"Robert. How is Feus? Where is your younger brother?" Suvvell asked him. Robert made a somber expression. "He is currently sick...but don't worry! The best doctors are taking good care of him right now!"
'And your sister is not...' the duke said to himself. He wanted to stay by her side but he is also needed in the castle. He needed to finish his duties here.
"Ok, what is the plan?" Duke Suvvell asked. "First, make an emergency meeting with all the nobles" jeremy butted in. "?what for?" Rudevich asked. "To denounce him of his throne and make you king instead." Jeremy said. Rudevich could not believe what he had heard.
"No, that is lesse majeste, don't you think?"
"Hmph, who cares, he is useless anyways, everyone even the commoners loathes him, and nobles have began to voice out their opinions on you becoming the king instead." He said.
"...i just plan to continue serving the kingdom as the captain commander and settle down as well....." Rudevich muttered but loud enough for the two Holminne to hear.
"Hm..?what was that? You found a woman to marry?" Jeremy asked.
'Ah, i leaked my thoughts absent mindedly!' Suvvell gasped.
"No, that was just my plan though!" Duke Suvvell said. Jeremy eyed him for a moment and sighed.
"You should have married my daughter, well...that would not happen now, who knows where she currently is!" Jeremy said. 'Such a cruel father..' suvvell thought.
The three continued on doing their best for the people but at this rate, the god of death will still took more lives. It was already nighttime but not even one knight had taken a break since morning. Suvvell wanted to stay in the castle but he also have Ortezca to worry at home. He decided to drop by to check on her and then go back to the castle. He took his horse and went back to his estate.
"My lord." Cain greeted him. "How is she?" Rudevich asked, not taking his coat off. "She is currently reading a book in her bedroom. She had not taken anything since morning, she said she did not have an appetite...and also, the diagnosis of the doctor—-" Cain explained but Suvvell had enough. 'That brat...' suvvell gritted his teeth. 'Even stubbornness has its limit, you know??' Suvvell thought and stomped his way to her bedroom. "My lord...? Even if you want to talk to her, now's a bit-!" Cain tried to stp him but he opened the door and saw no one on the bed.
"What? Where is she?" Rudevich asked, making the butler frown to for he was sure that the lady did not take one step outside of her room. That just when they heard a faint whimper from the other side of the bed. Rudevich quickly approach it and saw Ortezca crouching- clutching her stomach. He quickly kneeled beside her to assess her.
"What is wrong? Where does it hurt?" Rudevich wanted to touch her but he feels that if he touch her, he might hurt her more. The butler kneeled beside them holding a basin with water and a cloth.
"...the diagnosis was stomach bug."
'Can't you name it more professionally...?' Ortezca thought and wanted to voice out that it was ulcer but a sharp pain made her shriek, making the two alarmed.
"Maybe this is a punishment for not eating on time...." Ortezca thought.
Ortezca Holminne is a young 18 year old lady of the Holminne ducal house. She is the eldest child of Jeremy Holminne and Helzca Esmon. She was originally a villain in the novel "The Empire's Redeemer" and had been banished in a far flung place called Ellosk, devoid of any civilization. The carriage that she was in fell off the cliff and was supposed to be dead, only to find herself lying beside the river, with bruises and wounds around her body.
She was really thankful that she was alive, but the only thing concerning was- there was no Ortezca Holminne residing in the original body- it was Nagi Hibiki- a genius 18 year old college professor who was killed in the same manner as Julius Caesar.
