After changing into their robes, Aurora got out of the train just in time to see her twin sister and Snape in front of her. Lily had seen her and was waving her hand wildly in the air, as if trying to capture Aurora's attention as she laughed and after biding farewell to Remus (James and Sirius were lord knows where) she caught up to her.

"And whose the new boy?" Lily said, smirking a bit as Aurora's face went red.

"Remus. He was there in the compartment I had barged in, and he was so polite he didn't even kick us out!" Aurora gushed, not noticing the smirk on her twin , but she did notice Snape's eye roll as she glared at him for a bit.

"First years! First years in the boats!" Aurora heard Hagrid say as she gasped excitedly and ran up to him, leaving an amused Lily behind who was well accustomed to her twin's short attention span.

"Hagrid!" Aurora ran up to him as Hagrid looked down and saw the tiny Evans. "Aurora! Been a while since I saw you eh? Get on the boat and you'll soon see Hogwarts!" He said kindly as he gently lifted her up and put her in a boat himself as Aurora giggled in being so high up on the air as Hagrid was really tall, being a half giant.

She saw James and Sirius with Remus as she waved her hand wildly in the air , just like what her twin had done moments ago and Sirius – being the tallest – saw the hand and motioned the boys to follow. Soon the four were sitting comfortably in the boat and soon were moving towards the castle.

Aurora wasn't the only one gasping in awe as they reached the castle. The beauty of the castle was such that words couldn't start to describe it. If this is where I stay for the next 8 months, I'll be fine. Homesickness, who knows that? Aurora thought as they reached the end of their journey, yet just the starting of their life. Hogwarts.

"When I call you name, step up on the podium." Professor McGonagall – Aurora still preferred Minnie – said as she rolled down a piece of parchment and spoke the names of the students as they nervously sat down on the chair, a wierd but cool brown hat – which sings! – was placed on their head, and in some moments spoke up their house.

Griffindor

Slytherin

Hufflepuff

Ravenclaw

Aurora was nervous. The boys had explained all the houses, and Slytherin was automatically ruled out. She wanted to give the house the benefit of the doubt – after all, the people are evil, the house is not – but she selfishly wanted to stay with her friends. She would call herself naive in the future, but for now she prayed to be in Griffindor too.

"Evans, Aurora!" Her name was called, and she took a deep breath, looking at her twin who nodded encouragingly, and walked up to the stage. Smiling/smirking in greeting at Professor McGonagall, she sat down on the stool, as the Professor put the hat on her.

"Well well well. What do we have here?" A voice said, making her slightly jump but she quickly relaxed.

"Aurora Evans. And you are?" 

"Evans. Muggleborn is it. Hm.. great courage and resilience, you would fit in well with the lions. But there is this bit of self-preservation as well. Maybe you should be in Slytherin." The hat mused as nervous shocks ran up Aurora's spine.

"Not Slytherin. Not Slytherin." She mumbled.

"Not Slytherin eh? Well, your wish is my command. Now let's see, you do have the brains and wit for Ravenclaw, although you don't yearn to learn. High IQ is it?" The hat asked as Aurora blushed a bit.

"Just higher than some. Mother told me." She mumbled, as if embrassed.

"Hm.... You have the tendency to protect and nurture. Always trying to protect your sister eh? That itself is worthy of being in Hufflepuff. But if your choice is still set, better be in GRIFFINDOR!" The last part the hat shouted as the hat was taken off her head as Aurora grinned in relief.

The smile dropped as the hall was silent for a second, and then as if registering the words, the Griffindor table erupted in cheers and hoots as Aurora rushed to sit beside her boys. She saw them whooping and cheering as she blushed a bit, but sat down between Remus and Sirius as the two twins beside Sirius looked at her.

"Blimey , took your time did ya?" One said to her.

"How much time did I take?" She asked them, as it felt like seconds for her.

"Almost ten, right Gideon?" The other boy asked the first.

"Right you are Fabian." The first – Fabian – agreed as he looked at Aurora.

"I'm Gideon, he's Fabian." Gideon said as Aurora looked at them.

"Fifth years." Both said at the same time as Sirius and Remus jumped in shock while Aurora laughed. She and Lily used to do that a lot.

Suddenly Aurora looked at the podium as Lily's name was announced, and it only took two minutes for the hat to declare her GRIFFINDOR, and Aurora cheered alongside her table as Lily rushed in to sit beside Remus. Aurora couldn't help but feel smug when she looked at Snape's dejected face, biting down her urge to poke her tongue at him. Instead she cheered with Lily as Remus was stuck between the twin sisters for a moment.

"You're twins too?" Fabian asked as Gideon smacked him on the head. "Yeah you git. Anyone with eyes can see that." He replied as Fabian glared at him, massaging the top where his twin had hit him , as Aurora laughed.

"Yes Fabian. We're twins, although I'm the older one." She said, puffing out her chest in pride.

Sirius and Remus exchanged an amused glance at Lily's exasperated face. "By 14 minutes Rory! 14 minutes! You will not let that go, anytime soon will you?" She sighed but had a small smile on her face still.

"Not until one of us dies. No. " Aurora said as she laughed with everyone around her.

Soon James name was called in, and as expected, the hat wasnt even fully on his head when it shouted GRIFFINDOR! and the whole group cheered.

Aurora was very happy. The food was amazing, almost rivaling her mother's cooking during Christmas, and she stayed with her friends in the – yes, Alice was right – best house of Hogwarts.
