they arrived at daegu around six, taking a taxi to bring them to their hotel.
they chose the hotel that the taxi driver reccomend, because they really had no idea about where to go.
they arrived at the four-stared hotel, went straight to the receptionist.
hongjoong went in first with seonghwa just a few steps behind him with the suitcase clinging on him.
"good evening, welcome to the utopia. i am jongho and what can i help you?" the receptionist said with a sincere smile.
seonghwa who just arrived beside hongjoong, was about to answer the receptionist, but hongjoong made his move a second faster.
"i want to book a twin room for four days," hongjoong said firmly, not even asking seonghwa first.
seonghwa's eyes jumped to hongjoong's decision.
"okay, sir. this is your key. if you need something, just press 0 on your room's telephone, and we will help you," the young receptionist smiled when he gave hongjoong the key.
hongjoong walked to the elevator without checking on seonghwa, lips pressed shut to each other.
seonghwa followed his boyfriend with confusion.
why would hongjoong book a room with two separate beds?
the elevator ride was silent, tight air started to fill the small space.
seonghwa wanted to ask, but the elevator sound prevented him to do so, as it revealed the hallway.
hongjoong, once again, took a step forward without glancing at seonghwa, eyes traveling the doors to find their room.
hongjoong stopped at a room, swiping the key on the door handle, entering first, holding the door for seonghwa, but then roamed into the room when seonghwa reached the doorway.
seonghwa let the door close automatically, creating a slam that startled hongjoong.
"what the hell, seonghwa?" the younger demanded.
"what the hell, hongjoong? why did you booked a twin?" the other replied.
it's pathetic, they were fighting just because a room.
"why does that even matter seonghwa? oh god please," the younger replied as he sighed and shrug his hair out of frustation.
"what's with your sudden silence?" the other didn't stop.
hongjoong stay shut, facing his back to seonghwa, pulling out whatever on his backpack to distract him.
"answer me, hongjoong," his lover demanded.
"why can't you just fucking think, seonghwa?" the other replied bitterly.
"why can't you fucking think, that the stewardess on the plane; could make a report to any news outlets about you on a flight with a male sitting next to you?" hongjoong spat.
"why can't you think, that the sweet-looking receptionist; could do with the fact that you booked a room with a single bed with a male beside you?" hongjoong continued.
seonghwa was quiet.
he doesn't know what to say.
because the hongjoong who stood in front of him, was not the confident cheery hongjoong he knew before.
the hongjoong who stood in front of him now, was the scared and fragile hongjoong that he barely knew.
hongjoong sighed. pulling the suitcase away from the frozen seonghwa, opening it carelessly.
