I'll admit I was excited.
It was getting closer to Christmas with every day.
Foliis got home from school today with a smile. I wondered what she was so happy about.
"Happiness. Christmas break is soon. Happiness is vacation," she grinned, dancing around our room.
"Are you sure?"
Foliis stopped dancing, her auburn hair flopping into her back.
"Oh, hey Professor," she said awkwardly. A weak grin spread across her face.
"But I do understand your excitement. Shall we get out the Christmas tree?" the Professor asked.
Foliis grinned happily. "There's a Christmas tree here?!?"
"Well, Foliis, you sure are happier than usual," I observed.
"Christmas is coming! No school for two straight weeks! Fun, happiness!" Foliis smiled, continuing to dance around.
"Let's go get the tree from the closet," the Professor suggested. Foliis and I followed the Professor to a closet no one ever got in. That was most likely because of the fact that an enormous tree was stuffed inside.
I opened the closet door so that Foliis and the Professor could get the tree out. The pair dragged it down a hallway into the Professor's office. Foliis' grin had vanished, as she was struggling with pulling it around.
The Professor finally pushed the tree upwards. Foliis kicked up the tree's stand with her foot. She sighed with relief once the heavy object was in its place.
"There," Foliis muttered. "One step closer to holiday happiness!"
"I guess you could say that," I laughed.
