When I got home from work today, Foliis was laying around on the couch with Clive. He had his arm around her, and they looked pretty happy.
Foliis watched him stand. Clive held out a hand to her, and Foliis took it. The two looked at each other for a second. Clive closed his eyes, and when he did so, Foliis kissed him on the cheek.
Turning the color of a cherry, Clive met Foliis' eyes. Foliis did the same, her eyes seeming shy.
It was then that her cheeks got even brighter, as if they were on fire.
"Claire!" Foliis exclaimed. "Did you-"
"See everything? I finished. "Yeah.
"Please don't tell anyone! You just can't!" Foliis said nervously.
"Alright. I won't. But did you guys hear about the Gressenheller Christmas party later this month?" I answered.
"I saw posters for that at school today. All the staff and their families get to go. Would they allow Team Layton to? We treat each other like family," Clive chimed in.
"Maybe. I hope so," Foliis said doubtfully.
A thought clicked in my head. "Hey! I think that people can take dates to the party! Maybe you could go!"
Foliis' cheeks went full on fiery. "What?!? Nobody would EVER approve of it!"
"I wouldn't mind doing something like that," Clive whispered.
Foliis blushed even more than she already was. "R-really?"
"I g-guess so," Clive stammered.
I walked out of the room. I HAD to find a way to get them together. They were clearly in love, but how would I get them to actually believe it?
