Today, I picked up Flora from school. When we were stepping into the car, a voice made us pause.
"Emmy! Flora!"
We turned to see Claire a few feet away. I kind of wondered how she got here, and knew we were here.
Then again, some questions must remain unanswered.
But then again, isn't answering them my job?
"I was wondering if you wanted to go look for Christmas decorations, this being our first time spending the holidays together," Claire explained.
Flora smiled eagerly and nodded. "Sounds like fun!"
We all hopped into the Laytonmobile, driving to the decorations store a few blocks away.
As we came up on the store, Kyle's, I parked the car and we all exited the vehicle.
We hustled in, wanting to escape the cold. We dashed inside before walking to the right to reach the decorations aisle.
We looked around for a few minutes. Flora pointed at some multi-colored Christmas lights. "Can we get these?"
"Sure," I smiled. I eyed a small ornament, a pink bow tie.
I grabbed the small box and rolled it in my fingers. An idea popped into my head. I grabbed a top hat, clock, blue hat, and darker blue tie. I found a sun and moon ornament nearby before grabbing a melon colored bow.
I put all the ornaments into a small basket for carrying things I found nearby. Claire took a flashy multi-colored tree wrap. "Ready to go?"
I nodded. "Yeah. The Professor is probably thinking we got lost."
And with that, we went and payed before heading home.
