I can't wait for the weekend.
Weekend means Christmas break, and also a little vacation within our vacation.
I heard Luke talking excitedly with the Professor. Apparently we were going to spend the day someplace called Misthallery on Saturday.
I'm not sure what or where that is, but Luke sure was chattering pretty happily about it.
Anyway, when I got out of school, I was walking home silently, lost in thought.
Mainly I was thinking about what we were going to do in Misthallery. Why was Luke so excited? Hadn't he brought it up before when talking about some friends?
And then it clicked.
"Oh, yeah," I realized. "Misthallery is his home town."
I admit I was a strange combination of happy and nervous at the same time. Luke's parents lived in Misthallery, and that meant I'd be meeting them this Saurday. The thought made my stomach both tie in knots and flutter in delight.
I wondered what they were like. Luke talked about them sometimes, but not too terribly often. I got nervous thinking they'd reject me.
But why in the world was I worried? I mean, after all, Luke was my friend. I shouldn't be nervous.
Okay, maybe I should be.
If they have mistletoe in Misthallery, Foliis was bound to push Luke and I uner it with a smirk.
I hoped they didn't have any.
But deep down I thought differently.
