Chapter VII

Rosé's POV

Nakayuko lang ako while waiting for my parents' reaction. Hindi ko alam kung matutuwa sila or what. But at least, I said it.

"OH MY GOD!" I was a bit shocked na napatingin ako kay Mommy.

Her hands are covering her opened mouth. While my dad is still holding his spoon halfway to his mouth— his eyes are staring at me with surprised.

"Mom—"

"THAT'S A GREAT NEWS, SWEETHEART! IT'S YOUR DREAM! OH MY GOSH! I AM SO PROUD OF YOU, MY LOVE." Umalis si mommy sa pagkakaupo niya para patakbong yakapin ako.

I looked at my dad's reaction na kasalukuyang malawak ang ngiti sa akin.

"I'm so proud of you, Rosé." Dad makes his way to hug me too.

I am teary-eyed. Pero nung niyakap nila ako ng sabay, doon na bumuhos ang luha ko.

"God already answered your prayer. Thank you, Jesus." My mom said while still caressing my cheeks.

I am so speechless. Hindi ko alam kung anong sasabihin ko. Sobrang tuwa ang nararamdaman ko at that moment. But it didn't take long, my smile fade when I remembered my sister. Nahalata yon nila Mommy so they asked.

"What's the matter, Rosé? Is there something bothering you?" My dad concernly asked. My mom's gaze is on me.

I sighed. "I was just thinking about my sister. I don't wanna leave her like this." I lowered my head again. I saw my dad looked away as soon as I mentioned my sister.

Lisa is my life. My family is my life. Like what I've said, mas gugustuhin ko pang unahin ang ikabubuti ng pamilya ko rather than my own happiness.

My mom held my cheeks and smiled at me as I looked at her.

"Your sister will understand you. Your sister loves you. Like what she said before, she will support you in every way you choose. As long as you are happy. And we— your dad and I— are always here to support you, too. We all want the best for the both of you. We want you to experience the things you want to do. We want you to learn new things by yourselves. We want you to know that everything you do, you always got our backs. No matter what decisions you make, we're always here to support you. All throughout your journeys. We love you both so much." I cried again as soon as my mom starts her speech.

Let me say this: Mommies are always the best.

My mom and I cried as if it's our last. I took a glance at my dad who's also looking at me. He smiled as soon as he met my glance. I smiled to him too. He stood up and held my left hand.

"Whatever your decision may be, just always remember that we support you, sweetheart." He smiled and kissed my head.

I feel so lucky to have a great family as this. I feel so lucky to have a wonderful parents like them.

After I've talked to my parents about the offer, I made my way to Lisa's room.

I opened her door slightly and popped my head up. "Lisa?" I called.

As usual, silence welcomed me as I stepped one foot inside her room.

I checked the time using my seiko wristwatch. It's already 9pm. Maybe she's sleeping.

Tuluyan akong pumasok sa kwarto at tinignan ang kama niya.

I smiled when I saw her sleeping peacefully. I sat at the edge of the bed. Staring at my sister's face.
