Christmas Day (part 1)

I wake up in Jack's bed alone. The last thing I remember was us watching a movie. I sit up in the bed, grabbing my phone I see a text from Gabby.

Gabby: Hey girl! I was wondering if when Lavender woke up we could face time? I'm sorry to be a bother, but I would really appreciate it.

I reply.

Bella: Of course! It's Christmas after all!

I close my phone and go into Lavenders room to check on her. Where I find Jack asleep in the rocking chair next to Lavenders crib with one arm in the crib with her. Lavender is wide awake and sucking on one of his fingers. (get your mind out of the gutter you filthy animals)

I pick up Lavender and bounce her a little as we leave to avoid her crying and waking up Jack. I leave the door open but I turn off the hall light. I quietly take lavender down the stairs and put her in her high-chair. She giggles and smiles at me.

"How did you get to be so cute!" I ask her pinching her cheek gently. She continues to make cute sounds as I head to the fridge to get her some baby food. As I get everything ready, I remember Gabby's text. I pull out my phone and face time her. it rings twice and she picks up. the camera faced to Lavender.

"Hey Angel!" Gabby says talking to Lavender. Lavender in reply makes some cute baby noises. "Hey Bella!" Gabby adds.

"Hey! Merry Christmas!" I say.

"Merry Christmas!" She replies. "How long have you guys been up?"

"I've been up for about 10 minutes, I don't know how long Lavy has been awake. Jack is still asleep upstairs." I reply.

"Cool. Well, I just wanted to see Lavender." Gabby says.

"Okay, well Merry Christmas!" I say.

"Merry Christmas! Bye Lavy! Mommy loves you!" Gabby says.

"Bye mommy! Merry Christmas!" I say in a cute voice and move Lavenders arm. Gabby smiles into the camera and I can see a bit of hurt in her eyes as she hangs up. I put the phone face down and grab the food for Lavender. I feed her and before I know it I find Jack coming down the stairs.

"Merry Christmas!" He says I look at him. Lavender half turns and sees her dad, so she makes some cute noises in excitement.

"Merry Christmas." I reply as he comes to kiss the top of my head.

"Have you opened anything?" He asks sitting in the chair next to me.

"Nope, came down here and called Gabby." I say continuing to feed Lavender.

"Call Gabby? Why?" He ask.

"She wanted to see Lavy on Christmas. We got off the phone a couple minutes ago." I reply now facing him.

"Okay." He says with no expression.

"Wanna open some presents?" He smiles at me getting extremely close.

"Sure." I smile back and stealing a kiss.

He picks up lavender and we head to the couch.

We spend the next hour opening gifts. We didn't get each other much, but the talking in between made it long.

After we finish we go get ready. Jack is getting Lavender ready while I'm getting ready for lunch with his band mates.

I'm wearing a new pair of jeans that "lavender" got me and a light pink blouse that Jack got me. I put my hair in a dancers bun and do some light makeup, just some mascara and a red lipstick.

We trade off, while Jack gets ready I take Lavender and double check her bag is packed. Once I'm sure we have everything I head to the car. I strap in Lavender and start the car. I wait patiently in the car for Jack. After several minutes I see him coming out the door and locking it. He gets in the drivers seat and locks the car.

"Ready to go, babe?" He asks me with the biggest grin on his face.

"Yep!" I smile back. He pulls out of the drive way and we head to Corbyn, Jonah's and Eben's shared house. The hole way there we talk about what the other boys are like and talk about what Lavenders future might look like.

As we pull into the drive way I can feel my heart beating and my hands become shaky.

"Hey, don't be nervous." Jack tells me taking my hands in his.

"I know, it's just that everyone in there knows you and knows Gabby. I feel like I'm replacing her." I say looking down.

"Hey," he starts putting his hand on my chin and gently pushing my face up to look at him in the eyes. "You are not replacing Gabby. You are you. And I really, really, really like you. The guys and their girlfriends know what happened, so you have nothing to worry about. Okay?"

"Okay." I smile at him. The way he makes me feel, god damn. He kisses the top of my head and we get out of the car. Jack gets the food from the back as well as the bag for presents. While I get Lavender and her diaper bag.

We walk up to the front door and I ring the door bell. After a moment or so the door opens to reveal Jonah with a big grin on his face.

"Hey! Welcome to the party gang!" He says opening the door more for us to enter. I take a deep breathe and head in. I hear music and people talking and I can smell some food which smells delicious. Jack pulls ahead of me and heads right to the kitchen while I find my feet stuck at the entrance, only several steps into the house.

"Bell? You okay?" Jonah asks putting a hand on my shoulder.

"Yep!" I lie with a big smile.

"I know you better than anyone, I see through you." Jonah says now standing in front of me.

"Okay, I'm really nervous." I reveal.

"Don't be, all I've heard from everyone was how excited they were to meet you." He tells me taking the diaper bag from me.

"Really?" I say shocked.

"Yes, really." He smiles.

"Okay then, lets go." I smile. We go into the kitchen and Jack comes right to me and takes my free arm that's not holding Lavenders car seat.

"Everyone! This is Bella!" He announces to the room.
