Moving Boxes

I wake up in my apartment and stare at the mountain of empty boxes. I roll over and fall out of bed.

"Screw this." I groan sitting up.

I get up and head to the kitchen. I start some coffee and throw some toast in the toaster as I scroll through Instagram. The toast finishes and I jump at the sound. I take it out carefully and put some butter on it as my coffee finishes. I get everything ready and I sit down on the couch and turn the tv on. A short while later I hear a knock on my door. I get up and open my door to find Jack.

"Morning sleepy head." He says as he walks in.

"Mornin." I reply closing the door behind him.

"Ready to get to work?" He asks.

"No, I need to get ready still." I say yawning and walking over to my coffee and he chuckles.

"Tired?"

"Yeah, I'm not much of a morning person." I reply taking a sip.

He chuckles and says, "Why don't you go get ready, take a shower, do whatever you need to do and I'll start packing you clothes."

"Okay." I smile at him. I quickly show him where everything is. I grab some clothes and a clean towel and take them to the bathroom to take a shower.

*after shower*

I'm in my black lacy bra and high waisted blue jeans with my hair up in a turbine as I realize I forgot a shirt. I walk out of the bathroom and head to my room where I find Jack, hard at work to folding and putting clothes away.

"Did you get to the shirts yet?" I was leaning against the doorway with my arms crossed.

He turns around to see me. "Well, no I haven't. But I wish I did." Jack smiles.

"Someone's in a mood." I remark, grinning at him mischievously.

I head over to my dresser and pull out a shirt. I pull it over my head, making Jack frown.

"Why the long face?" I ask jokingly.

"You know why." He says frowning. As I walk past him I shove him a little and go to the bathroom to continue to get ready.

After finally getting ready, I head out to meet Jack still hard at work in my room. He's taping what looks like to be his 12th box. All my clothes packed up, as well as some of the stuff that used to be on my night stand and dresser.

*time skip*

It's 6pm and we have all the things that can be put into boxes already at his house, just waiting to be sorted and unpacked. All we have left is some of the bigger things. Like my bed frame and couch. We both agreed that we would get rid of his couch and keep mine. And that my bed frame was going to the goodwill.

*the next day*

At noon we head back to my place. We take the bed frame to goodwill as originally planned and the couch back to his place. Once we switched the couches from inside the house to into the rental truck. We both collapse on the bed. Lavender was with Gabby for the weekend, giving me and Jack the time to do all of this.

"Good god, I hope we don't break up." I say.

Jack gives me a wtf look.

"So we don't have to move all that shit. Let alone have me do it all by myself." I say. He laughs.

"I don't have any plans of the such" Jack tells me rolling over on top of me.

And let me just say, moving all those boxes was worth the prize at the end.
