"Kailan daw tayo aalis, exactly?"

i heard yujin ask. her tone sounded really dull, and i can't blame her.

malamang sa malamang, mas apektado siya sa lahat ng nangyayari. she's going away from someone she loves, anyway.

i bitterly scoffed at that thought.

and it's a lie if i said na hindi ako nakaramdam ng kaunting saya when i heard that we're moving early.

"No idea. But I think that it will be on the first week?" i replied. i knew her situation, so i didn't bother to ask more.

"Sabihin na natin sakanila after? Or agad?" i was surprised that she asked another question, but she still sounded the same.

"After nalang siguro. I do not want to ruin the mood for everyone when we eat."

we were on our way towards the cafeteria. when we arrived, we saw our friends on our usual spot.

kumaway kami sakanila, and i noticed that wonyoung shifted in her seat.

so i figured that something might've happened yesterday.

"Lovebirds! Musta? Lalo ka na, Yujin. Nagtatampo yang si Minjoo kahapon kasi wala ka." nakangiting tanong ni chaeyeon.

we sat across yuri and yena, and wonyoung was on the other end of their seats, obviously trying to get herself distracted.

on the other hand, yujin chuckled when she heard chaeyeon. i smiled lightly, and i held her hand underneath.

"Ayos lang, syempre." yujin answered, smiling.

pagkatapos nilang marinig yung sagot ni yujin, of course, ininis nila kami. napatawa nalang ako, but i can't help but to notice how wonyoung acted. she definitely faked her laugh.

i wanted to talk to her personally. hindi ako naghahanap ng away, ah. i just wanted to clear some things to her bago kami umalis, since di kami naging close. but i know yujin would do that.

"Oorder na ako. Hitomi, samahan mo ko."

my train of thoughts stopped when i heard chaewon say that. napangiti naman ako, kasi i knew that they had a thing for each other. kaso, ayaw mag-aminan yung dalawa.

tumayo na rin kami ni yujin, hand-in-hand. i smiled wider when i realized that she didn't let go yet.

so we ordered, took our food, at bumalik na kami sa mga upuan namin.

and after a while, we were done eating.

i had to admit, kinakabahan ako.

but i felt yujin's hand slip on mine. with that, i felt reassured. it was always like this, at least for me.

when i see her, i feel safe. protected.

pero sa totoo lang, i want to feel like i was hers.

even though, i know that i am not.

she started off by clearing her throat. syempre, that caught everybody's attention, then she started speaking.

"We... have an announcement... to make."

i saw everyone's confused looks.

"Kayo ni Minjoo? Nanaman? Jusko, napakainteresting ng buhay niyo. Sana all." napabuga naman ng hangin si yena pagkatapos niyang sabihin iyon, and she earned laughs from everyone, and a slap on the arm from yuri.

pati ako, napatawa rin. i can't help but to agree more.

but it was the type that you wish you'd never had.

"Kinakabahan ako, pero i'll go straight to the point."

everyone looked like they were anticipating, bukod kay wonyoung.

so she already knew? i thought. so i concluded, that must've happened yesterday.

"We're moving next month."

at dun napatingin sa amin si wonyoung.

maybe she knew that we were leaving after the school year ended.

pero nakita ko na lahat sila, nagulat. i mean, who wouldn't? but after seeing their reactions, i felt guilty, and at the same time, sad.

it made me want to not leave anymore.

"Move... as in... lilipat? Ng school? Bahay?" sunod sunod na tanong ni hyewon.

they all looked sad. it's a good thing that we decided to break it out after, because their moods were totally down.

"Both." i answered.

as i expected, napaluha ng kaunti si yena. she's always the first one to react anyways.

and slowly, almost all of us did.

"S-Sus. Babalik naman kayo, diba? Pero kailan?" i heard eunbi sniff.

to be honest, we do not know.

"Hindi namin alam." sagot ni yujin. but, i really hope that this whole, moving thing was only for our studies.

we didn't want to be away in the first place.

i stayed silent. and everyone else did, too.

"How about we throw a farewell party then?" chaeyeon suddenly suggested, while tears are formed in her eyes.

they all agreed, and of course, we can't help but to be touched.

i heaved a shaky sigh, "Sure." i answered, at narinig ko na they're suddenly whining. i couldn't help but to laugh, habang naiiyak ako.

i will really, really miss them.

"Tangina niyo talaga, pag kayo di bumalik, kami susugod don!"

"Oo nga! Mamaya kalimutan niyo kami agad ha!"

pagkatapos iyon sabihin ni nako at sakura, ibinaling ko ang tingin ko kay wonyoung. wala pa rin kasi siyang sinasabi hanggang ngayon.

i chose to not talk to her, because i know that she's as affected as yujin.

again, i bitterly smiled.

and when i saw yujin, she was looking at nobody else but her.
