"Leda baby get up!"
"Hmrrrph" I groaned and rolled onto my side. The bedside clock read 6:40.
I sniffed and rolled out of bed. I threw on a purple v-neck and black jeans and went to go brush my teeth. I brushed my hair and made my way down to the kitchen where my mum was waiting with a bowl of oatmeal.
"Hey mum" I said while taking a seat and started eating. My mum opened her mouth to reply but the phone rang instead. "Hello? Oh yes. Yes I understand. Okay. Okay bye now." My mum hung up and her eyes rimmed with tears. "Leda it's been 2 years sence your fathers left us..." I straightend up. Since when did we talk about my father? All I remember is him saying he hated me and leaving. "Anyways," my mum carried on, "I think it's time we started new. New surroundings to get him off our minds. And you can make some new friends!" I choked on the word "friends". Nobody liked me . I was an outcast.
"Leda pack up your things were going to Ohio"
This time I spit out my oatmeal. I knew better to fight my mum. I mumbled something about not being hungry and went upstairs to pack my things
