Jay was shocked to see who was standing in the doorway of the court room. A small figure with blonde brown hair that went far down her back. It took Jay a minute to realize Erin was standing there with a file in her hand hoping that the information she had was enough to get Jay full custody of Sophia. "Sophia Marie Halstead was born almost & months ago and in that short time span she has been to the hospital 17 times I have every single paper from every trip, when she came in, who she was brought in by, why she was brought in, and how long she stayed in the hospital, I can tell you she was brought in all 17 times by Jay Halstead and she was brought in everytime because of something Rebecca had done that day or some other time that Jay didnt know about, all of Sophias inguries where to the point where she stayed over night for every single one sometimes every longer, Sophia was brought in 4 months ago when she was a day away from durring three months old she was brought in road rash second degree burns from a road on her back cuts on her face and chest,her body tempeture was so low she was shaky almost died because Rebecca was drunk out of her mind picked Sophia up early from daycare brought her in a car with some random dude she met the night before and opened the door dropping her off in the midle of the highway, if it wasnt for Jay being on patrol following her swerving car Sophia wouldnt be here today," Erin made eye contact with Jay tears were forming in his and her eyes thinking about when he saw his little helpless baby girl laying on the side of the road the a piece of trash. Erin was thinking about the call she got from Jay and the sound of distress in his voice because he didnt know what to do because his baby the one thingmin hus life that was super important to him was hurt and non responsive. " I have been Sophias doctor along with Dr. Taylor Nickle since the day Sophia was born and just a tiny baby in the NICU and everytime shes been brought in sense Ive gotten really close with Jay and Sophia both I know Jay would put Sophia before himself in any situation he would give his life if it meant Sophia got to live and I know you might not take into consideration what I said but if anybody deserves custody of this baby its Jay." She walked over and stood by Jay getting the death stare from Rebecca she knew everything Erin said was true and she wasnt happy about her past but she had changed atleast she thought she has. Before Erin sat by Jay she gave the judge all of the files for sophia reguarding her hospital visits. "you were the last person I excpected to come," Jay whispered. "Will called me said you guys needed some hard evidence because she brought up your past." " I think we've got a pretty good shot." Sophia was awake and alertive playing with Jays fingers, she had no idea what was going on and how with just a couple words her life could be changed forever. 15 minutes felt like such a long time for the familes as they waited to here what the judge and jurry had to say. " By the Power vested in my by the State of Illinos I declare Jay Halstead full custody of Sophia Halstead case closed," the judge slammed his malte down and jays side went wild with hugs and congratulations. " Thank you so much," Jay said. " Of course." That was when the unexpected happened out of nowhere two bullets came flying from the other side of the court room hitting both Erin and Jay knocking them to the ground and knocking them out. Antonio got Sophia before she went down with Jay. She was screaming, crying, and covered in her fathers blood. " Somebody call 911," Hank yelled applying pressure to Jay while Will applied pressure to Erin!
