It had been a few weeks since the others had come to live with us. Deceit took up residence in Logan's room, and Remus slept in Roman's room.
I was currently in the kitchen, getting a glass of water. A few hours ago, Remus had accidentally put the thought if trypophobia in Thomas's head while he was talking with Logan. Which, of course, caused me, the source of Thomas's fears, to freak out.
"Virgil?"
I whirled around, hissing at the snake that had just entered the kitchen.
"Please, calm down." Deceit rolled his eyes, I'm simply here for a snack and was surprised when Roman wasn't with you."
"I can go places without my boyfriend." I rolled my eyes, putting my glass in the sink, "it's not a crime. And besisdes, he's working on a script."
"Hmm, such a shame." Deceit purred, slinking over to the fridge, "Roman doesn't even have time to pay attention to his boyfriend."
"He does pay attention to me." I said, rounding on him, "and what do you know!? You don't even have a boyfriend!"
Deceit smirked, "then maybe I'll take yours."
I was shocked into silence as the snake waltzed out of the kitchen. He wouldn't actually... right?
I nervously walked over to Roman's door, knocking quietly. After a few moments, Roman opened the door.
"Virge? What's wrong?" He asked, pulling me into a hug.
I just shrugged, not wanting to explain.
Roman sighed, "is it the others?"
I nodded this time. Roman picked me up and took me to his bed. Thankfully, Remus wasn't there at the moment.
"If I could begin to be, half of what you think of me, I could do about anything, I could even learn how to love." Roman sang, "When I see the way you act, wondering when I'm coming back, I could do about anything, I could even learn how to love, like you. Love like you."
"I always thought I might be bad now I'm sure that it's true 'cause I think you're so good and I'm nothing like you." I whispered the song.
"Look at you go! I just adore you!" Roman squeezed my lightly.
I sighed, "I wish that I knew what makes you think I'm so special."
"If I could begin to do something that does right by you, I would do about anything I would even learn how to love." Roman sang, "When I see the way you look shaken by how long it took, I could do about anything I could even learn how to love like you. Love like you..."
"Love me like you." I finished in a quiet voice.
Roman kissed the top of my head, "feeling better love?"
"Sorta." I shrugged.
"Need more cuddles?" Roman smiled lightly.
I nodded, "mhm."
"Okay." He whispered.
Roman turned on a movie, The Hunchback of Notre Dame. I snuggled into his chest. Deceit was wrong. Roman does care about me. Right?
