"Virgil?" Someone said, shaking me awake, "Come quick, we have to get away."
I pried my eyes open to see Deceit staring down at me.
"What the hell!" I screamed, jumping to the end of the bed, "H-How did you-! Why-why are you here!?"
"We're here to rescue you." Deceit gave a seemingly sweet smile, "this is a bad place and-"
"Dee," Remus interrupted from the other side of the bed, "Look at his arms."
Deceit's happy facade faded, "You didn't die."
Remus smiled, his tentacles sliding out from his back, "Oh goodie, I get more play time out of you!"
"What!? No! HELP!" I screamed as Remus's tenticals wrapped around my body.
Remus smiled as one tentical curled around my mouth and nose, preventing me from breathing. I struggled against him, but I was still too weak. Everything was starting to go hazy when someone broke down my door.
I was dropped on the ground, gasping for air. Logan quickly pulled me out of the way of a spikey metal ball on a stick.
A mace. I blinked. How did I remember that?
"Are you okay kiddo?" Patton asked, kneeling by my side.
"Go away you foul beast of a brother!" Roman yelled, slashing at Remus with a sword.
Remus grinned back.
"I-I-I'm ok-okay." I stammered, nodding slightly.
"STOP!" Deceit snapped, making everyone freeze, "Anxiety is our rightful property as a dark side."
"Not when you keep killing him so much he doesn't even remember what food is!" Patton yelled back, "any more could make him fade for good!"
"Also a side is not 'property'." Logan glared, "Anxiety is a facet of Thomas just like everyone else in this room."
Thomas... that name sounded familiar to me. I got lost in thought for a while, thinking about who Thomas was.
"Kiddo? Are you okay?" Patton asked, "You seem a little lost there."
I nodded, "I'm just... remembering things... things like swords and maces and Thomas... though I don't know who Thomas is..."
Logan sighed, "at least you're starting to remember."
"Or he's faking it!" Roman shouted, pointing his sword at me, "I mean, who could forget our host!?"
I felt a surge of panic through my body as I stared down the blade.
"Roman! Don't do that! You could hurt someone!" Patton squeaked.
"Yes!" Logan said, "not only is pointing a sword at someone unproductive, it is extremely dangerous for the innocent party which, in this case, is all of us!"
I covered my ears as they continued arguing.
"Ŝ̸̫̪̥͝H̶̨̛͈͌̋̊͛U̵̙͚̲̔̿͊͗T̶̩̑͌͋̄̀̉ ̵̛̙̗͉̺̈́̋́̎̚Ȕ̸̗̒͘P̵̺̏̋̃̀̚!"
It went quiet. I opened my eyes to see that I was alone. My breathing got heavy as my veins filled with ice and panic. I felt hot and cold and scared.
Oh god, what was happening!?
