NOW

After what seemed to be hours of crying in the bathroom a soft knock from behind me, jolting me awake from slumber. I slowly stood up and wiped my face off of the wet tears that were plastered on my face, took a deep inhale while I opened the door to Dimitri standing there with worried some eyes. I turned away from his gaze grabbing my dirty clothed, walked back to him. "Is there somewhere I can put these?"

Dimitri slowly grabbed the clothes and shook his head, looking down the hall as he spoke gently. "I have some food made downstairs if you want some, I don't know how long its been since you really ate something." I shook my head still not making eye contact with him as he slowly walked in a room that was just above the stairs and inside I saw hundreds of guns and other weapons, also so many first aid kits my mouth dropped in shock. Dimitri put the dirty clothes in a basket and turned toward me with a little chuckle leaving his mouth.

"Wow, you guys have a lot of....supplies...I uhhh would of thought they would of been in that building we were just in." Dimitri smiled standing up and meet me back towards the door and looked back at it shaking his head. "Yeah, we do but this is our back up place just in case we are raided by zombies, or other humans we have a back up stash." I shook my head while he closed the door and locked it back up with a password I didn't pay attention to. We walked downstairs and the smell of food filled my nostrils. We walked in the kitchen and there was plates already made with potatoes carrots and what looked deer meat. I grabbed the plate and followed Dimitri into the dinning room and sat down at the table across from him. He grabbed his silverware and began eating it slowly. I looked down at the plate and also started eating. The taste of the potatoes exploited on my taste buds, making my body going into something I have never felt before. My body felt like I haven't ate in months and I began shoving the food in my mouth and scarfing it down. Dimitri stared at me in confusion and in smatter of minutes it was gone.
"Oh my goodness...I...don't know why I was so hungry...." Dimitri smiled softly as I stared blankly at the plate. "We will figure it out Octavia, I promise." I looked up meeting his bright blue eyes, looking at me with so much hope I just noticed for the first time that his eyes didn't show sadness or a never ending pits of darkness.
"I'm tired...can you show me where I'm sleeping?" I asked as Dimitri stood up wiping his lips with a napkin and showed me upstairs again to a room at the end of the hall. He opened the door to show what must of been a spare bedroom that was nicely kept, for the most part very plain. He then pointed to the other side of the hall and spoke softly. "That's my room if you need anything, I'm going to clean up downstairs." I shook my head as he moved away from the door and I walked in and slowly closed the door while Dimitri walked away.
I sighed leaning against the wall, closing my eyes as my body trembled from a slight cold breeze that hit my face. I looked up seeing the window slightly opened near the bed, I proceeded to walk over and shut it when I heard a weird noise coming from under the bed. I froze instantly my heart rate coming out so loud anyone from a mile away could hear the thuds escaping my chest.
I slowly bent down looking under the bed and saw a pair of bright blueish green eyes, in a instant the eyes came running towards me, making me fall back in fright. But as I opened my eyes a very large cat was sitting in my lap, looking up at me with those blueish green eyes I thought was maybe something trying to eat me. I laughed looking down at the cat and slowly started rubbing its head. The cat started purring rubbing his head against me as the door opened harshly behind me and Dimitri stood, looking like he ran up stairs as quick as he could, his breath escaping his lips.
" Are you alright?" He asked looking down seeing his cat sitting on my lap purring like an idiot. Dimitri looked at me with confusion as I picked the cat up and held him while I also stood up.
"You really are not my wife..." Dimitri mumbles as he came closer to me while the cat snuggled closed to my chest. I looked at him in confusion and spoke as I rubbed the cats ears.
"Why do you say that?" I asked as Dimitri touched the cat rubbing his face as he sat in my arms so content and putting his face on my arm.
"Because my wife hated cats or any animals, this cat hated her with a passion, but this cat was mine after I found him in a house full of dead corpses which I was presuming was his family and he stayed beside them, half dying himself but I brought him home and nursed him back to life and ever since he's been my side man." He said with a smile and tickled his cat side while the cat groaned.
I laughed looking down at the cat and smiled.
"What's is name?" I asked while Dimitri looked back at me with his blue eyes as a smiled appeared on his face.
"Leonidas..." Dimitri said as it made perfect sense why his name was that. He was really big for a normal size cat, he had long jet black fur and his paws had to be the half the size of my hand, and just presuming of the way his face looked he had to be a certain rare breed of a Maine coon. I smiled holding onto him and for the first time since I woke up in this hell I felt normal for a moment. Just a moment until the sadness welled in my chest. Dimitri looked away from me and cleared his throat, stepped away from me.
"I'm sorry I intruded I just heard a thump, yeah..." I shook my head and Leonidas jumped out my arms and landed on the bed as he waited for me to lay down I smirked and got in bed before Dimitri left he looked back at me and spoke. "I'm sorry this happened to you octavia but I promise to get you back home. You don't have anything to worry about, I'll be here to protect you. " I looked away shaking my head as he began leaving the room and my voice finally cracked as I said "thank you so much..for everything." He smiled shaking his head and closed the door behind him. I covered up with the blanket, the pillow hitting my head quickly as Leonidas laid at my feet, his warm ness Surrounding around me, my eyes instantly began to fall into a darkness where my constant nightmare always had a reality slap in the face that I thought could never get worse....until I was sucked into a book and into a reality that people ate each other for a living and my best friend was my husband and my boyfriend was some annoying girl that thought she knew everything.  But really who knows what's going on, cause, I defiantly could use some pointers.

Aright guys that's the end of that chapter, sorry it was short butt next chapter is about to be long and juicyyyyy
