dixie idk. she's just been crying all day. and she was crying all last week. she won't get out of bed. please come talk to her

luna re-read the texts over and over again. this whole johnny thing got to charli harder than luna expected it to. she knew charli cared about johnny, but she didn't think she cared about him that much.
"are you okay?" johnny whispered to luna.
"yeah. i'm fine." she lied. johnny stared at her, "no you're not. what's wrong?" he asked her.
"just um, this movie, it's really sad." luna smiled.
"oh, yeah. it makes me cry everytime." johnny said glancing at the screen.
"hey love birds, keep it down over there." lauren whispered to them.
lovebirds. the name caught luna off guard. they weren't lovebirds. johnny wouldn't be with someone who lied to him.
"i'm gonna take maliboo for a walk." luna stood up.
"i'll come with." johnny said quickly.
"no, it's fine." luna smiled.
"but it's dark out. weirdos are out at night. wouldn't want you getting hurt." johnny smiled.
"maliboo can scare away the weirdos. it's all good, honestly." luna lied again.
the lying was coming so easy to her now, she didn't like it. she didn't like it at all.
she needed to find a way to get to charli's house, without having johnny go with her. or anyone for that matter.
"you're acting weird, do you need something to drink?" johnny asked.
"no. seriously, i just want to take maliboo for a walk." luna smiled.
johnny gave her a concerning look.
"if you're so worried, i'll drink some water before i leave. it'll be like ten minutes." luna said.
