Elsa's POV
Mr. Asbjorn left and now I had to give instructions to Anna and Kristoff
—Okay, I definitely don't like this, but, since you'll have to take care of the baby, you'll need to sleep in the same room- I said
I saw how they exchanged looks and Kristoff smiled at Anna
—I'm already regretting this... anyways, you'll stay at Anna's room, and I'll put a baby monitor there and another one in my room, that way I can also be aware of what's going on with the baby and with you two. Okay?
—Okay- Anna said, I was carrying Mabel so I handed her to Anna- we can do this...- Anna told Kristoff
—Yeah...- Kristoff said not very convinced
We got Anna's room ready for the baby and for Kristoff to stay in there. I put the monitor, a crib for Mabel and a mattress for Kristoff to sleep in. It was lunch time, and I saw how Anna tried to prepare the food for Mabel, slowly realizing that she had no idea of what she was doing, so Gerda had to help her. Then, the baby did... her things, and it was Kristoff's turn to change the diaper. Of course, he had no idea of what to do either, and this time I had to help him, which wasn't a lot of fun. Then it was dinner time, and now Anna had to teach Kristoff how to prepare the food, and Kristoff had to help Anna change the diapers. Nighttime came, and I think it was the hardest part of all. I mean, they wouldn't sleep all night, and probably I wouldn't either thanks to the baby monitor, but I wasn't the one that was going to have to get up and check on the baby.

Anna's POV
Today had been tiring, but I didn't care that much, I got to spend time with my boyfriend and a little baby girl! What kind of punishment was this? The only bad thing was the baby monitor, I mean, Kristoff and I weren't planning on doing anything, at least while Mabel was in there too, but the idea that Elsa could hear every word was kind of... I don't know, I just didn't like it. Anyways, it was bedtime, and Kristoff and I headed upstairs and went into my room. I put Mabel in her crib and she just started crying. I took her in my arms again and started moving around a bit just to calm her down, but she wouldn't stop crying
—Kristoff, check her diaper- I said
—What? Why me?
—Come on!
He sighed
—Fine
He checked, and there was nothing
—What if she's hungry- Kristoff suggested
—Hungry? But she just had dinner!
—Well, I don't know, everybody gets hungry even after eating sometimes!
—Let me get her food
I said and passed the baby to Kristoff's arms, then I went to the kitchen to look for Mabel's food. When I found it, I headed back to my room, and Mabel was still crying
—Okay honey, here's your food- I said as I tried to get Mabel to eat, but she wasn't hungry
—What else could a baby be crying for?- Kristoff said
—Um... I don't know! I mean, maybe attention or something, but we've been here the whole time with her!
—Maybe we should just wait
—Okay, I'll try to lull her to sleep
We waited and waited and I lulled her and lulled her, but nothing worked! We even tried to sing a lullaby but it just made her cry harder. Now, this was starting to look more like a punishment. It was already around 1 AM and she finally fell asleep. I quietly put her in her crib, and just as a miracle, she didn't wake up.
—Finally- Kristoff said smiling
—Shh... don't speak too loudly or she'll start crying again- I whispered
—Right, right, sorry- He whispered as well
—I guess we should try to get as much sleep as we can, she could wake up again  at any moment-I said
—Definitely. Well, I guess I'll just lay down on the mattress... good night, Anna...
—Wait... You could... sleep in here if you want to- I said patting the opposite side of the bed, trying to be as quiet as possible so Elsa wouldn't hear through the monitor
—Sounds good- he said smiling
Then I laid down on the bed and Kristoff next to me
—Night Feistypants- he said while putting his arms around my waist
—Night baby- I answered before immediately falling asleep...

"Whaaaa! Whaaaa!" I woke up. Mabel was crying again. I looked at the clock, 4 AM... gosh! It had barely been 2 hours since we had fallen asleep and she was awake again
—Again?!- Kristoff said as he woke up
—Oh my gooood- I complained
Kristoff got up and carried Mabel out of her crib
—Maybe now she's hungry- I said
—Oof! Nope... definitely her diaper- Kristoff said covering his nose
—it's your turn to change her- I said
—I know...- he said
He went into the bathroom and changed Mabel's diaper, then came back with a disgusted expression
—You know? I'm really starting to hate this- he said
—It's not that bad- I replied
At least I get to sleep with you- he smiled
—Well, that sounded wrong!
We both laughed
—You know what I meant- Kristoff smiled
—Of course I know what you meant- I smiled back and kissed his cheek. Then he got Mabel back into her crib, and this time she actually calmed down after the diaper change
—Thank goodness- I whispered as we got back in bed
After that, Mabel woke up at least another 2 times, and Kristoff and I stayed awake almost the whole night through. When it was breakfast time, I was starving, but I also wanted to sleep so bad. Kristoff was just the same as me, but we needed to feed the baby, and ourselves, so we went to the dining room to get breakfast. When we got there, Elsa was already sitting on a chair, smiling at us when we sat down next to her
—How was your night?- she asked
—How do you think it was?- I said
—From your zombie-looking expressions, I guess it wasn't so good
—It certainly wasn't- Kristoff said
We fed Mabel, and unlike last night, she fell asleep. I was also kind of falling asleep while eating my breakfast but managed to keep myself awake. Maybe... parenting was harder than I thought. And it had only been a day...

A/N: okay, so obviously baby monitors didn't exist in the 1800's, but I just put them in there for the story 🙃
