Ben Solo Lives | a Reylo story (Star Wars)

Chapter 4

The sound of the millennium falcon engine starting up woke me out of the trance I was in after the forcebond with Ben. I look out of my window to see Poe and Finn outside the spacecraft and other members packing things into it. I instantly make my way outside to see what my friends where up to.

When I get closer to them, their body language explains it all. They seem thrilled for whatever journey they are about to take off yet they look uptight and on edge about something. "Hey where are you guys going?" I say while putting my hand on Poe's shoulder. "We were called for a urgent meeting on Naboo. We might be there for a few days or even a week." Poe turns to look at me and gives me a uneasy look.

"Since Poe and I are now the generals of the Resistance, we have to go to more meetings and talk to other generals and high ranking people." Finn says taking in everything he just said and acting like this is the first time he heard this information himself. Having a urgent meeting isn't unusual, but having one in Naboo seems to be a little strange.

"But why Naboo? doesn't that seem a little weird? I mean we haven't really heard from them in over a decade and now they want to have some urgent meeting with the brand new generals about what?" "But we have to go. Rey, we really don't have a choice. If anything happens I will contact you right away but for right now I think everything will be ok. Trust us we got this." Poe says while giving me his famous smile.

Poe takes my hand and gives me a communication device. I know Poe and Finn don't trust Ben and still thinks bringing him here was a bad idea, but I know they trust me and know I will do the right thing. "Now Rey, only use thing if you are in serious danger. This will let us know to come and help you from the trouble you start." Poe winks and I just roll my eyes

"Same thing with you. If anything bad happens, please contact us. We will leave everything to come and help you" "I know you will, but I wouldn't be so sure about Kylo Ren" Finn says giving me the stink eye. "You mean Ben right?" I say while rolling my eyes.

Poe nudges him in the stomach and shakes his head. "We will. Promise you'll be safe?" Poe says while giving me a hug. Finn joins our hug and so does Chewy.

"I promise."

It has been a while since Poe and Finn left for their meeting and I eventually finish up reading another one of Luke's books. Once I put the book back with the other ones, I grab my bag and go get Ben and start our journey to Ahch-To. 

  Once I walk into his bland and boring room, I see him asleep on his bed. I look around to try and find his bag that he was supposed to pack, but I seem to find none. I shake my head in disappointment and start packing his bag for him. I pulled out a classic black long sleeve shirt that seemed to be worn a couple of times before, but it feels like it was just made and freshly washed. I put the soft shirt up to my face and close my eyes and take in the sweet yet woody and leather aroma. 

  "Um Rey, what are you doing here?" Ben asks looking at me still have asleep yet having an amusing look on his face. I quickly drop the shirt and look the opposite way so he can't see the blush that is quickly forming on my face. 

 "Oh I was just- uh" "Were you smelling my clothes?" Ben starts laughing and my face becomes even more red then it ever has before. "Just finish packing because we leave tonight." I instantly say while getting up and going toward the door. All of a sudden the door slams shut on it's own. I turn around to see Ben smirking and his hand out. 

  "Did you just-" "Yep. And I would love to have some help finish packing my things." He says while getting up and starts walking towards me. Instead of me normally backing up, I stand still and look him directly in the eyes. 

  Once he gets close enough he puts out one hand and looks at me. "Will you join me?" 

  I look at his hand and then at his eyes. Every time I heard those specific four words, I always saw in his eyes the dark side of him. But now, I see the Ben Solo I've always seen deep down but never got to meet. I don't have to be afraid of him or what we could become with the dark side anymore. 

  Ben's grin becomes more apparent when he sees me smile. I give him my hand and we both feel a wave of each others emotions through the force. I feel enjoyment and love but with a little bit of sadness. I search for his eyes again and instantly start to cry. He takes me into his embrace, and for the time ever I finally feel safe with him.

 "Rey, I know you are enjoying this just as much as I am but I need to finish packing" Ben says while hugging me even tighter. I glance up to see his dark brown eyes. He looks down at me and wipes off the last of the tears that are on my face while giving me such a genuine and peaceful smile. 

 Seeing him so happy and peaceful made me realize how much he's changed. He was always called a monster his whole life that he was never able to show who he actually is and trusted. No one saw his caring and loving side that he has. 

 "Fine. Get out the rest of your things and I'll start folding." I say with a big smile on my face. Before Ben lets go, he kisses me on the forehead and I abruptly feel sparks go down my body making me paralyzed for a second. I shake away the sparks and help Ben finish packing.

After an hour of attempting to pack but just end up getting distracted, we finally finish. We grab our bags and head towards the dining hall. On the way there, we get a lot of mean looks. Many members say things under their breath or say it to the person next to them. I could sense the discomfort coming from Ben and I instantly grab his hand to calm him down. We immediately get even more insulting whispers and glances. 

  We finally make it to the dining hall and we hurriedly got all the food we need before we get anymore backlash from the other members. We swiftly make it to all the ships and find one where the both of us can fit and be comfortable. I remembered how big the Bestoon Legacy was and head straight to it. 

 Once we got everything started, it was time for us to start our first of many adventures together. 

"Are you ready?" Ben asks looking at me.

"I'm ready"
